A Simple Request about Dr. Hermann Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Doctor Hermann is the overconfident schmuck head scientist in charge of the bunker at the Jupiter area.

After completing a few missions he becomes useable as a trader.

BUT he constantly moves around. ITS IRRITATING

Can the devs PLEASE find some way or put in some code that makes him STAND &%$&*$$^$^*& STILL until the player is finished trading??? the little tw*t wont stop moving!

he is a pain some can we buy a nail gun from another trader so we can nail him to the floor like the above post !!! & if not why not ha-ha

And if it can't be fixed, at least add some sort of back story with insight into his battle with ADHD.

I searched and searched looking for a way to pin that arrogant D-head in place like Lassie is in Noah's ship, but couldn't find right file. It would be sweet to pin him in place. A bartender like the Barkeep in SOC moving around and walking away just as you are about to speak to him is far too realistic, but some pantywaist scientist blowing off a fully armed Stalker is not. It's also quite annoying I was going to name the fixed file Ritalin.ltx

I definitely agree with this.

Everybody hates it, the team is pretty busy wrapping up next release so I doubt fixing it will be on the short list of things to do. I really hoped I could figure it out on my own, but it's beyond my skill set. Even regular NPC's get distracted or just decide to walk away when you are trading with them. Just when you are finished selecting things and reach for the buy or sell button they walk away. Hermann is the worst though. I'm tired of his buddy making comments about my ass when I pass by too

yep, i agree. please nail that arrogant twat on the floor when players are conducting trade transaction and talks with him. it is really annoying aside from the fact that hermann is one arrogant nerd. I would love to kill him everytime he walks away or feed him to the muties, a chimera or psuedogiant maybe?

also since i saw this script folder, perhaps a script for hermann could be added. or since in misery mod exo suit is not available from nimble and you guys were able to change that in the mod. i guess hermann's script could be somewhere on the part where you were able to edit nimble's selling capability for exo suit? i don't know, don't have much exp with modding or programming. so i will leave it to the experts and the good guys. hope i could help more, i could try to look into every files in the game folder to find hermann's config/data over the weekend.

hey guys, found this in the game files, i don't know if this pertains to hermann or ozersky or for the both of them. i am not sure if this contains his annoying walking away thing when you're talking to him or trading with him.
will look for more, see you again some time Stalkers!

There is a youtube video someone shot of a Chimera pushing it's way into the bunker somewhere. Someone posted it maybe a year ago. I think you probably could spawn one in his lap if you cared to try (for scientific purposes) ;-)

He probably just has a patrol path like the mercs outside do.

then that patrol path must be removed and replaced with a static "NAIL HIM TO THE ****ING FLOOR" path

ahh, quite impossible to push muties in the bunker. possible to lure them on the complex but not inside. i guess maybe because the guards on the complex could easily take down muties when they all fire away altogether and a large mutant would not fit in the airlock door because it only fits a mx of two people i guess?! but will try again though to present a live chimera to Hermann and yep for 'scientific study of predator and prey' hehehe!

Used spawn menu to create a scenario said above. SOME monsters to get stuck in the bunker wall, and glitch inside the bunker. this bug however is EXTREMELY RARE and EXTREMELY UNLIKELY to happen on its own, i spawned like 40 mutants in an enclosed area and let them run loose, the ALIFE cant handle that kid of thing, nor is it actually set up to create those numbers. i did however spawn a chimera right on top of me directly in the bunker. the result was HILARIOUS.

It's more like effeminate science nerd stuck on a sharp stake in the middle of a lab - is it weird that makes me happy? It's one thing it will be hard to find someone to complain about
