Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The United States Airforce had long been looking for a replacement for the aged but functional Chinook Helicopters. It's long service record indicates how difficult it had been to find the right helicopter to replace the ninety year old workhorse of the Airforce. The Osprey program had been running for a considerable time now and the fruits it yielded were ready to be harvested. With mobility growing increasingly important in warfare against distanced foes across the globe, the CH-47's limits were becoming apparent. As a hybrid plane combining the virtues of both the C-130 transport aircrafts and VTOL heavy lift helicopters, the V-22 Osprey finally met its true potential and was found ready for widespread active service. It will be replacing the honoured chinook helicopters in supply and troop transport duties.
Here's a little something extra for all you fans out there. You see, during the making of the V-ss Osprey, we actually made three sets of skins for the Osprey for possible future variants or special in-game objects. Anyhow, here's a couple renders of them:
Dark grey, based on the Ospreys used by airforce (the one selected):

Light grey, based on the Ospreys used by the marines:

GAWD I WISH I HAD ONE OF THOSE
I like it, the ospreys are very unnuaual aircaft and deffinatly are a valid replacement for the CH-47. The texture, as usual, has been done well and the model isn't lacking either. The only thing that looks slightly weird (note: SLIGHTLY) is the wide base. That said, I think it would look even more weird with a thin base.
There isn't really much more to say on this model. I have only two things to ask:
1) does it replace the CH-71 ask the resource gatherer?
2) can it (for whatever reason) land on water?
1). Yes, 2). No.
Also, this, along with the Blackhawk, is already in the game. We included the renders simply because we didn't have them rendered before.
Sorry, I don't normaly play ROTR, I pefer Shockwave
It would be cool if you could make it so we could intsall both, at the same time and lke play them from the same launcher (obviously not at the same time)
You can. They are compatible with each other, you can have both RotR and Shockwave installed to the same copy of Zero Hour.

I really like this one. Good job mate.
By far the best V-22 i have seen in any mod
excellent work guys
the osprey can some times have a rear door gun
Won't the Osprey get an m134 installed in the nose and in the cargo bay door?
i love those things D:
how do you do that?
Also, is there some way to copy some of the files from ROTR beta to Shockwave, so that i can play shockwave but with the russian faction included in the game? You guys should really work on a way to combine the two mods, they really are fantastic. I've never seen better unit design, even in the original units made by EA.
Always have on hot keyed to act as a SAR bird for downed pilots.
i hate loosing my pilots to. i always have a few cobras on station to quickly move to the location of the pilot and give him some support before the osprey arrives :P
Ok, so, only just learning the chinook goes kapoof, Could we get real light weapons on the sides, IE, a rangers mg or a light minigun on either side, as they do have doorguns realistically, or mabe even light grenade launchers that will kill infantry/light vehicles, or, if ur feeling real generous both...
(if yes, my i ask that they are usable during resource gathering? o.o)
These should be outfitted with a retractable machine gun for taking on infantry.
