Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
They feel safe behind those defenses... We'll prove them wrong, comrade !
This upcoming Saturday, Maelstrom will host a new stream of the internal build, showcasing the new additions to the mod.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Kinda hard to keep up with the streams since unlike podcasts that you can just play in the background while doing other stuff you need to actually sit down and watch the streams/vods. I can watch an hour of footage a day so an average vod takes at least three days to watch.
Remember the Goliath upgrade ? Well it has changed. First of all, it is not longer GP-locked. Then it provides the following benefits in addition:
- arena to sentinel and mauler
- flares to fixed-wing aircraft
- shtora for golem
And it has now been renamed "Active Protection Systems"
I haven't been in the streams or replay casts. But there is a new Russian rocket artillery to the right of the screen.

If you are talking about the Volga MLRS, it's an entirely new unit
Man, that "Volga" MLRS looks awesome. It's the "Smerch" we never got. Although that thing looks a lot like the newer "Uragan-1M", only mounted on MAZ-535 (or maybe 537).
