Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
With the ever shrinking influence of the United Nations in a world dominated by global superpowers and influential trade blocs, warfare in the mid-21st century became increasingly vicious as many countries no longer felt obligated to respect various treaties such as the ban on clusterbombs and anti-personnel mines. Most controversially, the European Continental Army made no secret of its newfound interest in these weapons, arguing that the use of 'terror weapons' must always be an optional deterrent against the most ruthless, uncompromising enemies and that modern 'intelligent munitions systems' would allow for an easy and safe removal of unexploded ordnance in the aftermath of a conflict. As such, the Spanish Mole Minelayer became a mainstay support vehicle for the task force and one of the few weapons that strike legitimate horror into the hearts of even the most fanatical GLA fighters. In combat, the vehicle is capable of dispensing large quantities of mines with its multi-directional launchers, creating entire fields littered with explosives within seconds. Beyond that, it is armed with the infamous 'Maulwurfsbombe' (literally 'Mole Bomb'), the militarised version of an Austrian-made, fully autonomous drilling machine that is used to cut tunnels and shafts through the Alps. The bomb can be burrowed as a stationary explosive mine or traverse a considerable distance underground to demolish enemy structures.
looks rugged, dependable, and damn dangerous to any infantry in front of it
BAD *** B) nuf said!
Nice work!
Is it based on RA2 concepts?
The Plow was indeed! Glad you caught that :D
It definitively broke away from standard plows/mine flails but the rest of the body is of my own design. Though the vehicle was originally supposed to be a British Shielder Minelayer. Army.mod.uk and so I borrowed some of the silhouette.
i love how the eca is geting the whole RA feel, now all we need is a double barrled mammoth tank :)
The Jagdmammut has served that purpose =)
Moddb.com
How would you stop the mines from reaching destination ? If they're going underground.
HA HA HA HA HA uh yes this is ******* hilarious XD
check the link out
i liked it!!
DUDE... DUDE... This is so fcking nice, if u ever stop making models, than i'll... Err do something i guess :)!
Srsly, it's awesome.
ROTR always have good model :P
"traverse a considerable distance underground to demolish enemy structures." = underground torpedo?! O_o
Yay mines are back now i u can prepare some nasty surprises
It looks like it has Isaac's helmet from Dead Space. :P
i like the addition of the mine flail, it can do, and undo, it's job!
A drill torpedo? THIS WILL BE DRILL THAT WILL PIRECE THROUGH YOUR BUILDING!
Looks and sounds ******* cool ill almost just be ECA for this one unit.
on that note is there any intention to improve on the GLA demo track ATM absolutely no one uses it and as much as i want to love it its just not efficient enough. instant reloads when you buy demo traps would help because in ROTRs fast paced game play you cant afford to wait as you slowly buy each demo trap and then reposition to lay it.
i love this one^^ why you don't show me this one before you publish?
Nice detail spanish flag in this awesome killing machine jeejejee.
A machacar rojos!!!!
