Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Goalkeeper was first developed in 1975 and in more recent times has proven to be a very capable platform in naval and ground defence. During the European Invasion the Goalkeeper saw action under the supervision of General Willem. A defensive line fortified with a few Goalkeepers is almost impregnable by air and significantly protected from artillery bombardment.
Armed with a GAU-8/A Avenger 30mm Gatling gun and state of the art target selection utilising to two radar sub systems, the Goalkeeper is a force to be reckoned with. It can be defied by supersonic missiles, despite the ability to track and hit them; they may still have enough momentum to hit their target.

Correct. The Goalkeeper, as in real life, can shoot down inbound missiles with ease, but some might still have enough momentum to land on their target, which might be the Goalkeeper. It will also shoot at aircraft. Very effectively, too.
In the description, it mentions "significant... [protection] from artillery bombardment." Does that mean it can shoot down inbound arty shells?
if holland actualy used this in the world championship last year they would have wone, if it can hit missiles it can hit balls!

Don't worry, ECA and GLA are next on the list and will be added together in the next major content update. Whether this will be a large patch or a standalone release hasn't yet been decided.

Exactly. Goalkeeper is a real system and that's its real name, which is because it 'saves' a missile from hitting the 'goal', which happens to be a highly expensive warship with hundreds of people aboard and not a soccer net. The image I posted is just a humourous, rather more literal interpretation.

Wait and see. ECA is NOT going to be short on options for defence - General Willem is going to get about five defence structures, for instance. China, USA and GLA work just fine with their current tactics.
