Interesting low poly depiction of the Kandosii, especially with that color scheme. Looks loosely based on Fractals version with the turrets on top. Tried to make that work on my version but couldn't do it, looks great on your version. Improv on the engine attachments, giving them separate cilinders instead of attaching them to the core, love it. Love the engine stripes instead of cilinders. Mmmmm... I think I'm seeing hexagons as missile tubes... JEEFFFF!

Give those super heavy conc missile launchers some love man, they deserve atleast 8 sides. They're like the reproductive organs of the kandosii, so iconic, so shiny, so chrome. Now he's gonna have insecurities on the battlefield. Mandalorian ships are supposed to have balls, equipped with multi-sided cilinders. That poor Kandosii's gonna have issues now! How's a self-respecting Kandosii going to shove his missiles up an ISD's hangar if it's got 6 sided missile launchers. Poor ISD won't even know it's there.

But it already has more tris than my ISD model. Lol...

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I'll do the right thing.

It is indeed based loosely on Fractal's model, because his model is so goddamn cool. I wanted to play around and give it my own flare though, while also explaining it being viable in the modern age. Glad you approve of the artistic liberties.

Oh snap! Now we got a 2v2 opinion comment war going on... I don't know how to proceed at this point. Better fight to the death.

Looks good, feels a bit more on the boxy side than the classic one, but boxy is sexy, so that's a good thing.

Since this is a hero unit, will regular Kandosiis still be a unit or did you drop them?

Oh and does it have hangars? I remember your old version did, but I can't spot one off the bat.

I think he dropped them, since the Kedalbe fills the role of a Capital Brawler well enough.

Exactly. Between the new Aggressor-class (the mini-superlaser-firing-machine of long range destruction) and the new Keldabe, the Mandos already have a solid and comparable capital ship lineup on par with the other factions. Adding another would be a tad OP. Plus, since it's an ancient design with a bit of backstory, I thought it would help the hero feel more unique.

Nice model, nice color theme. When I was a kid, I'd have shat my pants if I could play with a plastic model version of this ship.

Well it's not that expensive to 3D print it, or even buy a 3D printer, and sell the printed version on ebay. Star Wars Armada players would love this, and it's totally royalty free, since it's your own redesign.

Yes but poor. Lol. I live in an apartment with my wife and there is definitely no room for 3d printing.

Now that the Kandosii has been revealed, are there even any units left to be shown between now and release? As far as I can remember, this was the last on the list.

There are a couple of Imperial ships, the MC80 and a few ground units. Then its just base buildings, starbases, and making sure everything is balanced/works as intended. I'm thinking a couple more months at most.

I think the Kandosii was the last of the really time consuming models though. The remaining don't have as many hardpoints and the remaining land units are mostly already made, I just need to tweak a few things and add their abilities.

Description

Rumors often swirl of ancient Mandalorian technology lost in the dark corners of the galaxy; relics of extraordinary power lost in time when their masters were scattered and broken. Most of the talk is no more than a starfarer's myth made for good conversation over a Corellian Ale but...from time to time, there are fragments of the warrior civilization's past that reemerge. Though, it is rare indeed to find a starship from those times.

The Intrepid was forgotten and adrift when Boba Fett and a band of his Protectors found it. In fact, no mention of the ship could be found in any of the ancient Mandalorian datalogs. It wasn't until Xhan Mar was called to resurrect the circuits of the old behemoth that a holo-log of the captain could be retrieved. Even with her talent, time had taken its toll and much of the recording was corrupted. What could be deciphered revealed that the Intrepid had been sent in secret to pursue a Jedi starship that was headed to the Unknown Regions. It's unclear how the events unfolded but the recording spoke of a powerful Jedi aboard the craft they chased, who learned of their presence and sent their ship careening into hyperspace; a blind jump that took them deep into the Unknown Regions. They failed their mission and lost their prey. What's worse, they were left without power in an uncharted sector of the galaxy. One by one, the crew succumbed to starvation...or took their own lives before they were left to die a death unbefitting a warrior.

It was a horrible way to die, especially for a Mandalorian but at last, their story was known and their ship was recovered. Novoc Vevut was given command of the vessel, using his smithing and weapons knowledge to repair the craft and upgrade its systems to modern standard. The original name was kept, a tribute to her fallen crew and a promise to redeem their honor. After thousands of years in the silent void, the Kandosii battleship Intrepid would fight another day.
