It's quite an unique take on a classic ship, but I love the subtle camo texture.

It's more just meant to subtly simulate the "splotchy" color scheme of Mon-Cal ships but I'm glad you like it. The Mon-Cal ships are all said to be different from one another, even within the same class so while I wanted to invoke the essence of the classic design, I figured some artistic liberty (or libery as some would say) was alright.

I really like the style you are making the mod, usually I'm not a fan of the 'cartoonification' but it really sets your mod apart and makes it unique.

The old MC80 Liberty, the iconic warship that defines the Rebelion and the New Republic, the perfect design for a mainline capital ship

Description

Originally, the MC-80 Liberty starships were luxury starliners meant for the travel and pleasure of galactic citizens who wanted to tour the stars. When the Rebel Alliance officially came into the spotlight as a militant force against the Empire, they quickly realized that they were in serious need of a navy which could hold Imperial Star Destroyers at bay. At the time, the majority of the Rebel Alliance fleet was comprised of small ships and freighters that were mostly Clone Wars leftovers and civilian ships with modifications for defense.

When the Mon Calimari joined the Rebellion, they quickly offered up the services of the shipyards on their homeworld, Dac. They hastily converted their starliners into battleships, stripping away the creature comforts and replacing them with weapons systems, advanced shielding and armor. While not quite as potent as the thoroughbred battleships of the Empire, the improvised warships provided by the Mon Calimari proved a highly effective counter to most Imperial threats and in the end, may very well have been what kept the Rebellion alive. After the Civil War, the old MC-80s were the testbed for future systems that would be incorporated into the first strictly military starships produced on Dac and an entire line of iconic warships with the distinct "organic" shapes the Mon Calimari became famous for.
