Admiral Daala was one of the few females in the Imperial Navy and who's unorthodox tactical perspective caught the attention of Grand Moff Tarkin, who considered her a protégé. She was unknown for many years, being deployed to protect the secret Maw Installation.
Isolation at the Maw meant that news from outside the region was scant. The result was that she and her fleet had no idea that the Empire had been defeated at Endor or even of Tarkin's death over Yavin years prior.
She finally learned of these events when Kyp Durron, Han Solo and Chewbacca stumbled upon the Maw by accident after making an emergency jump from Kessel. Daala interrogated the three and news of Tarkin's death infuriated her. Her captives managed to escape with the secret Sun Crusher weapon and Daala pursued, now bent on revenge and recovering the weapon. Ultimately her fleet was defeated and she retreated back to the Maw. However, Solo had warned the New Republic about the Maw and they had already arrived to capture the facility. Daala engaged but knew she was outnumbered. She managed to destroy several ships but her Star Destroyer was severely damaged. She destroyed the facility and retreated.
The remainder of her life was spent trying to devise ways to destroy the New Republic though her ambitions were finally put to an end when she plotted a coup to overthrow Jagged Fel, leader of the Imperial Remnant in 40 ABY. The plot worked and she began attacks on the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances but was quickly stopped when Fel and the Empire of the Hand returned to lay siege to her forces.
Minor nitpick, but isn't the Impstar Deuce's bridge meant to be laying horizontal instead of vertical? Or are you still making the model and this is merely a placeholder?
I actually already have the model made but was a dummy and forgot the update that in her and Pellaeon's code before posting....
What about Admiral Pellaeon's death, the rebuilt Maw fleet, and her becoming leader of the GA... Too far down the road?
The mod takes place around the mid 20's ABY so yes, the GA is not even formed yet. The extra information in the caption is merely to explain her lore but not all of it is pertinent to the mod.
