Texture looks awesome. What about slightly changing the photoreceptor to have it emulate the iconic t-visor?
Just an idea.

Or just have some variants. Because choosing is hard and variation is always good. :D

Well, I was thinking with these ones that I wanted to intentionally leave them identical as if they were fresh off an assembly line...being that they are droids and all. I know that a "veteran" droid might have acquired upgrades or what have you but the run-of-the-mill unit would be generic.

What?! So you're telling me these are not hand-crafted one of a kind units? That's way below my standards! 0/10 Won't play!

In all seriousness though, that makes perfect sense.^^

So they were around at the time of the Clone Wars? Does that mean you're ignoring the silly cartoon series that made the Mandalorians as a bunch of space hippies?

Yep because that sucked space hippie balls.

Yea the legionare driods were active during the clone wars, if I remember right there was a task force of I want to say either 100-500 mandalorian troopers and about 1,000 legionare driods. And they wreaked havoc on republic forces.

Yeah that pretty much correct. Unfortunately the Republic simply outnumbered the Mandalorans so ultimately all the droids got destroyed in one, massive battle (save a scant few) and the Mandalorians were routed...being later defeated entirely at the hand of the Jedi, Led by Count Dooku. That battle and the annihilation of the Mandalorians was what sewed the first seeds of doubt that eventually led Dooku to the dark side.

I think you're mixing things up here, Galidraan happened way before the Clone Wars. That was during the Mandalorian Civil War. You know, when Jango was young and killing Jedi with his bare hands...

Also that battle is the number one reason to hate Jedi, because they just attacked the True Mandalorians because somebody told them they comitted all the crimes the Death Watch actually were responsible for. And since recognising different mandalorian factions is apparently beyond the Jedi, they just killed an army of innocents.
Of course not without suffering heavy losses.

I may have my facts confused. I thought it all happened along the same timeline but I'll admit that my pre-clone wars knowledge is hazy.

Description

Derived from a reverse-engineered 3pX assassination droid, these Mandalorian constructs proved to be formidable against a wide variety of enemies.

Originally designed around the time of the Clone Wars to supplement Mandalorian ground forces (very few Mandalorians were around at that time), most of the original production line were destroyed in combat. However, at least one droid survived and was in the company of Boba Fett for many years.

The MKII versions of these highly successful battle droids bear a strong resemblance to their predecessors but have improved optics and armor, and do not have the added weight of the chest-mounted Gun Box weapons systems that hindered the first run models.
