I highly doubt it. Even though (in my opinion) it's a smarter design than the AT-AT, the Empire wanted to stay away from anything that reminded people of the Old Republic (stupid Tarkin Doctrine) so they would be rare even in the Empire's prime. Now that the Empire is but a shadow of its former self, they'd try to use things that show the "Glory of the Empire" and AT-ATs are iconic symbols of Imperial Power, plus they're pretty good in combat.
Thank you! The design for it was adopted from Galactic Battlegrounds. The ATTE won't be in the mod. As Bucman states, most Republic era things were done away with after a time...not immediately but we're totally retired and phased out eventually.
When I see great work like this, I get sad at the units that you won't make because I know that it'll be hard to get any models to match up to this level of detail and craftsmanship. Really cool to see the AT-AR, as well as the updated AT-PT and TIE Crawler. Though all the redone vanilla units look great too, its too hard to choose. Outstanding.
Thanks! For what it's worth... I think after I'm done with the mod, I am going to release models packs for modders to use. For example, one that has all the bounty hunters and their ships, or one which has all the prototype ships, or ships from the concept art (that would be cool!).
Additionally, I will be adding more polygons to the ATAT model. Upon comparing it to the other Imperial models while making this, I realized it's level of detail really is underwhelming for it's size on screen.
I look forward to that immensely. I was already planning to attempt small modifications of your free release units to pull off more obscure units and characters (I'm a huge WEG fan and Bantam fan). While most people are excited for more well known units, I'm excited to see your Kiltirin-class Dungeon Ship, and characters like Kueller being brought to life. Also really looking forward to seeing Jaina and Jacen updated, and Lowbacca (Will you model a tiny Em Teedee on his belt?). Still wish Tenel Ka was coming, but I know she wouldn't bring that much more to the table, and would be quite a pain to do, but a man can dream.
I look forward to seeing the touch ups to the AT-AT. It's definitely the best one for EaW. When you release those packs you're going to become the modern day Evillejedi of EaW mods!
This game needs a new eviljedi. His work is legendary and gets used all the time but it is outdated...or one might even call it cliche simply because it does get used all the time. Even if my models don't replace his, it will be nice simply to have variety I hope.
No. I've removed this ability entirely for a few reasons. First is that I found it to be mostly useless especially when the AI would use it. They'd deploy their troopers in a combat zone and most would be dead before they even formed up into squads.
Second, it caused bugs with the Walker itself that Petroglyph never addressed. There is the head "turret" rotating 360 when it was deployed, rather than in it's normal firing arc. Next, it would on rare occasions, get stuck where it deployed and stop responding to move orders.
Ultimately I just felt that the maximum firepower ability suited the unit better, especially since Veers is no longer a hero unit.
I assume the AT-PT wil have the battlegrounds voice over again/still. I've looked through the games files but i can't find any of the ingame unit sounds.
I found a big collection online and downloaded it but it only contains the the sound effects, not the voices.
How did you extract/get them?
These look great ofcourse, especially the lancet, love what you did with it!
A fine selection. I cant wait to see imperial scum lying dead across these burned out hulls all across the battlefield.
I just watched rogue one so i'm feeling somewhat antagonistic toward the empire.
Great work on the models. :D
Hey, just wondering if can you release the storm trooper or nova trooper models and animations. Not planning on using them for a mod, just want to replace the current ugly ones in the vanilla game. If not that's ok. Thanks anyways! Look forward to playing this mod
I like what I see. Again, I think the adjustments to the AT-AT's and AT-ST's proportions work very well.
Though I would be surprised if the 2-M had just one pilot since the Saber tanks traditionally had seats for a driver and a gunner (plus an optional hatch gunner) and the hull is pretty much identical.
The cross sections and cut away book I have shows the Clone Wars saber tank with a single pilot and a hatch gunner who stands behind him. In any case, if the book is wrong I still think automating many of the systems to allow for a single pilot would be a smart move on the Empire's part. The wiki does not address crew size.
If you're referring to this picture, the right seat is obscured, but it's there: Vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net You can actually see a bit of the armchair if you look closely. Two seats in front, with the hatch gunner on an elevated platform behind them.
It's like the AT-ST, one seat behind each of the windows. And you're right, the Wookie page for the 2-M doesn't list crew, but the ones for the predecessors list 2 or even three crew members with the optional hatch gunner: Starwars.wikia.comStarwars.wikia.com
Really like the look of the MAHT! Looks very Imperial and fits well with them I think. Awesome job!
Also, will anyone get the AT-TE? I know by now it would be old but its awesome! Anyway can't wait for more updates!

Yes, there will be an Em Teedee on his belt :)

Awesome work, it's nice to see the imperial artillery from battlegrounds be included in this mod
Awesome cannot wait to bring back the glory of the empire and depose the terrorist imposters,
Very cool :D
You say that, yet the Rebels didn't use terror tactics. The Empire did so if anything, the Empire's the terrorists.
So you admit you are a part of the rebel alliance and a traitor, take him away!
Haha no but really the Empire is the best
I am part of the Rebel Alliance and no the Empire is not the best.
Will the AT-AT still be able to deploy Stormtrooper squads?

Thanks and yes, it and the atar will have their GB voices. I got them from Gen Rhys Dallows, who does the Expanding Fronts mod :)
He is an audio specialist and I'm actually getting some completely custom VOs done by him as well for Storm Commandos, T Wing, and several others.
Yeah i know about it. I'l have to ask him then, thanks!
Thanks everyone!

Nice models.

All models will be free release when the mod is made public.

Ah! It's an R-Tard Walker! Lookit! It's so cute! Like a baby chickun! ARIZE CHIKUN!
