hmmm it would be awesome to give this unit the ability to fire through shields. as a vet upgrade of course. man this things gonna be useful if you want to draw your enemies air forces out. lol that reminds me of a time where i was playin starcraft brood war. it was the first online match id ever played and i had an army of battle cruisers. my friend told me hed wait in the middle for me. he had a big army of anti air waiting and i knew it, so instead, i avoided his units and split the battle cruisers into two groups and went for his bases. destroyed the bases but he used a support base to build an army of scourge. they eventually took me out and i lost. it was fun and he did not expect it.
1)The weapon has been redesigned
2)The proportions of the nose have been changed and also became more "boxy"
3)The scale of the body was fixed
4)The weapon now has two animated parts that will ROCK when it is ready ;)
5)The intake in the middle has fins now
lol i posted that on the last image. oh well. maybe angle the levitators? love the proportions. they are perfect. maybe you could give it some intake vents on the sides. that would be coolio.
Much better but.. I don't quite get the rear levitation disc from both a sci-fi and realism standpoint. Can't the 2 main rotors just tilt forward to propel the gunship forward?
i was playing supcom earlier and i noticed how some ofthe structures/units have hand rails. they must have ppl in them to have handrails. i noticed they are quite prominent on the uef shield gen. looking at the size of the rails, id say the shield gen is about three times the size of an average house.
Hmm, I think the square pods of the Broadsword would be more accurate than those discs, but still an interesting unit. The Discs still make me think Aeon (Illuminate)...
I understand that, but talking from a dev point of view keeping continuity between factional vehicles is a must. Something that even big dev teams forget as we've seen a few times in the past (C&C anyone?).
great idea i think it shouldent have much health be expensive but also have tons of damage and range so it sits out of line of sight in a battle blasting the enemy...u know just an idea

And yeah awesomesauce935 (pick a smaller name!!!!!! :P) it won't engage in close combat...but you have to always keep in mind, it's line of sight will be low, so you have to have something in the front lines for it to engage ;)

did you only update the gun or are there some other new additions/reworkings?

Quick question, Shouldn't every air unit in SupCom2 have a cockpit? As the existing ones already have one, such as the wasp etc?

Yup that's right its just for the computer and most RV air units don't have cockpits.

Well I'm trying to develop new interesting ideas, that are something previously not seen, and not the same concepts all over again ;)

can you model its behavior to be like the soul ripper 1
so that it stays as far away from the target as possible while still firing its weapon?
