Now i realize what's weird, the joints between the wheels and the chassis seems to look loosely made.

What's wrong with it?

If you noticed the HailFire Droid's joints is at the bottom, it's meant to make it so the wheels don't bend upward in the other direction.

and your point is?
First of all this is NOT the HailFire droid...
Secondly, It is science fiction...
Thirdly, IT IS SCIENCE FICTION

oh....and fourthly, this is a conceptual vehicle with magnetic levitation, and in my mind those fellas are more fragile thus the "loose" connector..

And finally the wheels aren't locked, because they will adapt to the ground, and they wont just stick to it, which means when it strafes, they will strafe too...

Hmm,rethinking it,it reminds me of that UAW unit....
It's a new interesting concept, but this game engine may not be able to render out it's full intended effects....

if you get rid of the bearings on the connector, and add magnetic levitation fields then you might come to it...

i imagine the military would have rubber treads on the wheels to provide traction. otherwise those wheels would skid in place.
and dont forget to post the in game version on verold studio once its finished.

Hmm i suggest a "bouncy" feel for the wheel texture then to show it's a strange yet somehow elegant form of wheel movement.

Have you tried adjusting the wheels so that they're angled inward at the top, rather than the bottom? I think that would look more stable, right now it looks like a stiff breeze would knock it over unless it were moving at speed.

I think that for in-game purposes, the Cybran should be the ones that get the wheeled units. This reminds me of the hailfire droid from Star Wars Attack of the Clones. I love the concept and can imagine a Cybran army made up of many wheeled units rolling across Setons Clutch and smashing through a massive UEF base. If anything units of these types should be lightning fast and do huge damage to a single target, but be very lightly armoured and have a fast production time. Say, T2? But swarms of them could make them useful for hitting large cumbersome land XP's. Or maybe (if at all possible), this could be an army option for the Cybran where if they were to research it. Then it could lock out research for several other things and open up an almost entirely new research tree. Just ideas though. I thought I'd put my two cents in for you guys.

Cybrans have legs, yes. The UEF has treads or legs and the Illuminate have either legs or hover tech. All said and done, I still feel as though any wheeled army would largely be something of a Cybran invention. The Illuminate could use more legs and the UEF could do with some more treads.

and what about the GLA? do they deserve some space tech?

i really think a heavy duty amphibious uef transport would have a bunch of big rugged wheels.

been some time since new image.

after reading what tomorrows strategist said about the movement styles, all factions favor legs and tracks/treads. only the aeon have their own special movement. the uef have enough mechs. give us some tanks! the only tracked uef things ive noticed are the three experimentals. i wanna see a revamped pillar tank! nice double barreled awesomeness! mechs are cool and im very satisfied with the ones we have but i hope you guys have some nice beefy t2-t3 tanks! and if you say tracks are outdated, well its the future and for all we know they could be made of lava. wait...glowing orange tracks would be really cool...

anyway, or you could add antigravity repulsors to a few. itd be cool to have at least one hovertank for the uef.

Reminds of IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tank from Star Wars.
