Apastron can compete with those two, Aeon does need more XP units don't worry we will be adding a load more units for them after the 1st Alpha release.
I don't wanna be captious, but what will about the units, what Albino ported from TM, XTreme Wars, and 4Th dimension, not mentioning Brandon Potter's famous UEF XP-s? Cause in my opinion, they really add a wide range of units too! Ok, some of them still need rebalancing, but it will be a paradise, if they'll be implemented to, then we really have the choice to wreck the opponent in style we want... And this will distinct this mod from other RTS's, where we only have a dozen of different units, and that's all.. But keep up the good work..
The only ported units in RVE 2.0 are place holders, We don't plan to add ported units back in we plan to remove them all, RVE 1.1 was based around ported units 2.0 isn't, Albino will be making a version of unit port for 2.0 if people plan to use these old ugly textured units there free to, and please don't mention that hack job Brandon Potter's around me please i was on the GPG forums when he was hacking other mod units and calling them his own plus his work looks like ****.
We plan to add a lot more unit in upcoming releases but like i have said before this is a Alpha and its very incomplete at this stage, We are pushing it out to keep people happy as they rather play the mod in this stage rather than waiting even longer, this also helps us get a base going for the game which we can build on.
Well,i originally envisioned that Unitport was to be literally what it is named,the porting of units from FA mods.
With RVE adjusting the meta to be closer to FA,it would theoretically work better to this vision.
The reason I didn't want to get involved in the mod anymore was that I didn't have what it takes to adjust it to that context,so it's better to let Overated finish RVE 2.0,then let Albino port in the units with the stats they have in their original mods,thus saving us the balancing work.
Well,the idea of Unitport working with yours as a base works out for us,Unlike RVE,it's mainly meant to be like for fun mod and not to be taken seriously for multi-player pvp.
Yeah, it was meant to be that mayhemish mod you used to play against insanely difficult AI for fun to escalate things to crazy levels.
Just take the idea of more than one T6 we had for example,which RVE would only have one of each God tier unit in a game.Man,it was literally Total Mayhem,where people could build several types of end gamers to wreck the entire map.Good times...
with only the two avalanches and one snakebite, i won that battle. i wiped them out completely, but only because i was able to get the snakebite and avalanches up. for some reason, they all just stopped sending units and started spamming xps like that. they just kept building them and i thought okay, fine, im just gonna send my three units in and hope for the best....pfffff
Well,if you get the stealth pun,this was the intended effect.
We wanted to try and "expand/escalate" the conflict found even back in FA by one more tier,thus the huge amount of new units,especially XPs.
When it gets to the point where you and your opponent can spam gantry Experimentals at each other........Experimental Wars,the name of one of our donors.
As one of the guys who once helped albino on Unitport,it was pretty much a stopgap mod for us to stay interested while we waited.
That said,at this point,I am more or less accepting of what we actually manage to have.
But.....before I give due praise,Overated.....you need to fix the seriously underpowered or non functional Pre-existing SC2 aeon units,the whole faction as a whole,is not very competitive.
Sometimes I wonder how GPG was able to f*ck up this whole SC2 ? If I were Chris Taylor(he sold out his soul the Devil...), I'll do anything to stop this game come out... This is a huge mountain of ****... Only Revamp can pull out this to a playable game...
ow yeah this reminds me the sooprizer is ridiculously OVER POWERED! THE RANGE?! is sooo big for a CRAZY DAMAGE GUNSHIP! can assasinate ACU in secconds (if u use revamp balance mod but everybody used it soo u probably know it)

Though I think Aeon looks a little under powered compared to Cybran and UEF. (How can they stop Fatboys or Storm Striders?)

Apart from Experimentals as we did based these off FA most other FA ported units will fit in with a few Eco changes.

Well you'll have to test 2.0 balance out and tell me what you think, RVE is closer to FA balance than SC2.

Well,if you are playing Unitport with it,i apologise for that,that might be a mistake made of my foolish sense of balance back then.

They added training for one reason, there was no tier levels they where lazy because there is tier levels now there pointless.
