In all honesty, and as beautiful as this was... RTSs aren't known for recording their units up close. Well, I'm trying to say, the units aren't meant to be that detailed so zooming in just seems silly. I'm not saying you're wrong or it's bad. But Possibly something not as close?
Just don't zoom in so close! Pretty simple.
What? Who says the units aren't meant to be that detailed? Not everyone likes fighting with hunks of bluish/reddish pixels (Early CnC games) or polygons (Gens.), and sometimes it' just good to go into a solo skirmish game, disable the AI, and spend some time looking at all the pretty graphics people put into the game so your battlefield pictures can look epic and/or pretty.
