Was I supposed to do something? Thread - Red Alert 3 Paradox mod for C&C: Red Alert 3

Hello! I am very up to join the squad
Although, if it really turns out well, is there a chance we'd add one of my ideas of fractions in? (Yes I read rules.)
I guess I can't do any about it, but if I really do good job - I really want one of my fraction ideas to be in...
Anyway, gimme a sign at my email benioxoxox@hotmail.com and tell me if you need me. I can do:
- graphics (I am really bad at 3Ds Max though)
- sounds/effects
- ideas? ;P
- If programming for this game is very easy, and someone teach me how to do what then I would

Bout my idea for a new fraction - it's not gamebreaking AND more needed than most of those I saw - fits more in the RA3 and would be enjoyable, not too hard to learn how to play as and isn't overpowered

Do you have any experience coding particle FX for SAGE? I'm the primary FX coder for Paradox but my class schedule is prohibiting much work right now.

I'd prefer to not have to train a replacement, but a second coder that can start getting stuff done would be great for the mod.

The chances of another new faction being added in is minuscule. So far that reason it's nearly impossible to get in. It never hurts to go on the fan wiki though.

As for coding, I might be able to (albeit much later from now) post an example code.

I am terrible at programming so far, but I really want to learn. I have no experience in any programming really, just at school like C++ etc but I really suck at it and I want to improve. If someone wants to teach me - Here I am! Conscript ready to figh... EKHEM! program

As for the new faction - I found Paradox missing really the point somehow - after all, the 3rd world war couldn't be all about China, Japan, Russia, Alies and Confederates - them all are almost same like originals - China-Japan, Allies-Confederates etc. What I thought is missing mostly is - Scandinavians, Australians and Africans. Well, Australia and Africa aren't THAT important as Scandinavians - after all Pirates and Vikings are ones of the most popular story-characters who plunder and kill! So, I decided to think more bout how Scandinavians would fit in Red Alert 3... so, if any of you want to know what it's about, here you can read (no storyline yet, cuz that's the last thing to do):

I would suggest taking your idea to the Fanfaction Wiki.

It is the perfect place to show your idea, get positive feedback from others, and possibly gain inspiration from the other fanfactions.

Believe it or not, there is an Australian and an African fanfaction there: although there is not currently a Scandanavian fanfaction.

(Well, technically they are supposed to have moved to their own Echoes Productions wiki, which is still a fan-faction wiki of Paradox: but they link from this Fanfaction wiki and there isn't really much of a divide between the two.)

Even if your RA3 faction idea isn't Paradox related, it is still welcome outside of the Paradox factions section.

Thanks for feedback Galgus. But why do you say it isn't Paradox related? I actually am almost 100% sure that it's a fraction fitting Paradox completly It's kind of reversed to Confederates... Oh well..

I didn't mean it wasn't Paradox related, just that you can post non-Paradox ideas on the wiki as well if you want.

As far as the wiki goes, it may be better for someone more experienced with it than me to help you- but to create a new page on the wiki, type the name you want into the Search bar.

Once you do that, immediately below the search bar, above closest results, should be a sentence saying "Create the page "your title here" on this wiki!"

Click on that, begin writing your page, then hit "Save Page" when you are done or just want a break.

As for format stuff, its best to just copy that from other Fanfaction pages for now: although I don't really know how to change the colors of things, you should have no problem finding someone else to help at that point.

It does seem an odd format.

Anyway, I'm sure they would love to have an extra hand for the mod team: send a private message to Open_Sketchbook and he'll work it out.

He can be pretty busy sometimes, though: so he may not respond immediately.

He responded asking what can I do, then silence... *sigh*

Even so, rules are rules, and must be followed, if they are not, suggestions are deleted on sight.

Ask around. R3ven, Sighnapes, and Gregester are the best go-to guys, but me, Protroid, Tayya, and Joshh are all learning and might be able to help out a bit.

Well, what can you do?

I can:
- Make/edit sounds/effects
- can make TARGA files (skins for 3D models)
- LEARN programming for RA3 (I dunno shit bout how to etc but I am willing to learn if needed)
- Come up with concepts/fresh ideas
