An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.

This thread is for asking everyone a question:

Can someone tell the difference between mech and vehicles gameplay-wise?

i know mechs don't have directional armour and can turn faster than vehicles, but are these feature enough to prefere mech above vehicles or viceversa?

Can't this bring in the empire redundancy between these two classes of land-based armor?

Maybe mech can be improve with something different....like the ability to take cover (since it has been now perfectly implemented) or walk undersea or climb the ridges.

Yes, yes it is.

and why you should use vehicles over mechs?

I'd like it if Mecha could take cover behind big things, but thats probably just me looking at aesthetics too much.

I think Mecha still have weak rear armor, but can't be flanked on the side.

Your playstyle. The only current mechas are the Tengu, Oni and VX striker and all of them in their own right are powerful and are generally specialised in a single role(also being pretty expensive and flexible depending on it's special) whilst tanks can fill less roles and are generally tougher and probably cheaper(eg Tsunami as a deff roller to counter infantry).

Generally whenever I could I would prefer using mechas but sometimes tanks are pretty handy depending on your opponent's build.

Gameplay wise, mech are vehicles with legs.

Generally, from what I can tell, mechs are less susceptible to harassment (due non-directional armor and transforming capabilities) but tanks are stronger. From scanning actual units mechs seem to have more of a variable purpose, while tanks have more of a specialization factor. Other than that, each branch has its own shiny units that you may prefer over the other branch.
