An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.
The first public beta release of Red Alert 3 Paradox.
So, this is what we've been waiting a full year for. Sure, there are a few things left to be added to the game, but as we mentioned on a previous Paradoxcast, it's like the Death Star in Star Wars ep.VI; from a distance it looks incomplete, but is actually a fully armed and operational battle station.
Here's some things you CAN expect:
- The Confederate Revolutionaries is now a full-fledged and playable faction.
- The Allied Nations have a new tier - "Tier X" which can be accessed by building a Defense Bureau.
- The directional armour system, aerial dogfighting system, and several new locomotors.
- Texture changes to Vanilla RA3 units.
You'll probably notice a few more little details along the way for sure, but for now, enjoy the mod!
NOTE: At 8pm GMT-5 on July 4th (8PM in Toronto and New York, use a time zone converter to find the time in your area), we will be broadcasting a LIVE GAME of this public beta on our Justin.TV channel here: Justin.tv. If you want to take part in the game, join Casual 17 (make sure you are playing the mod and not the original) at that time.

This mod apparently MESSED UP how i do skirmishes on RA3 now. I never had problems with previous mods when playin skirmishes. and i had to do what somebody told someone else about creatin a new profile to do skirmishes and that worked. but now it won't let me use my other mods without switching to another profile too. did you do this?
...We didn't intentionally cause this glitch if that's what you're asking.
It's something unique to RA3 mods with new factions - it's caused by the engine and is impossible to fix. There are workarounds like adding a new profile, however.
Indeed, as it happens in R3D too. It's because the new factions mess up your stats (since they weren't THERE in the first place and thus have impossible values).

Hey, guys. I'm really new to mods. (As in this is the first mod I've ever downloaded) So can I have a step by step instruction about how to play this of the programs a list of things I will need. By the way, if it matters, I have 7-Zip, not WINRAR.
Try using the installer linked on the front page. This should make the process much easier.

do i need the winrar to open the files?
Bug: When building walls as the confeds the wall hubs will be facing the wrong direction. When building horizontal they'll be facing vertical and vice versa.
This mod is buggy but that is entirely acceptable as this is the very first beta release and other than that tjis thing is awesome and I can't wait to see all the other factions and less bugs so great work paradox team.
One more thing, the biggest thing for me that i want you to fix is the descriptions for abilities (Also some balance changes need to be made) but other than this GREAT WORK
That's pretty reasonable. In fact, now we know why the common mod policy is "It's done WHEN it's done." Release dates are impossible to hold, resulting in so many garbage games recently, and since we are not tied to money or firms we can set them as we want. Hence, one thing:
There will be NO MORE release dates.
Unfortunately I have a very odd problem. I used to be able to install and play the mod just fine but recently the only thing that is showing up from the control center is the replays menu and not the mods... If someone could please help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate that because I've been looking forward to playing as the confederates for a long time.
Heres a bug no-bodies mention:
Some of the new units are unselectable by a single click, you have to lasso them with that green square thing in order to select them. Also take note of the wall piece glitch where they face the opposite direction for the direction you build them.
Both of those are very well-known glitches, so well known we actually know which specific units have bounding box issues and have already gone and fixed them.

After the Allies kill off Ackerman in the Allied campaign of Red Alert 3, a rag-tag American resistance force of patriots, hippies, survivalists, conspiricy nuts, militant feminists, big business leaders, gun nuts, protestors and every other imaginable 1960s oddballs gather together into a massive rebel alliance to evict the Allied Nations from the United State, styling themselves after American revolutions of old. Stealing the leftover WW2 (RA1) technology from it's storage yard in Nevada, they tear across Route 66, using underhanded tactics and the element of surprise to counter the tecnnologically superior Allied Peacekeeper divisions.

although I have found a bug where allid attack dogs arent able to be targeted, or killed, but the Confederates are top-notch. With only a tiny bit of tweaking they would be even better!

That happened to me when I was assualting the Soviets in skirmish but instead a sickle did that. Anyway it killed 4 of my tanks.
We are currently trying to fix this.
I LOVE this mod. Everyones talking about how the Confederates kick major *** and they freakin do. But so do the Allies!!! They have so many helicopters and aircraft now its beautiful.
I also love how you scaled the infantry down a bit. And the soviets with their retextures look much more legit!!
You guys have really opened up a whole new gameplay experience for all the red alert fans. Thank you.
