Weasel Utility Tank? What's that?
I think it's that new amphibious light unit Sketch wanted to fill the gap for the Confederates.
I told Sketch that we had a balance problem early on with confeds, as they have no solution to things like sickles or early infantry spams. The Weasel Utility tank is the solution to it, and is built from the service pad.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get it's special ability finished in time.
early infantry spams are easily neutralized by a few marksmen or even minutemen, but yea we needed something to combat early sickles and provide some armor support (rangers and dustrunners dont cut it)
can i just say the sickle was invincible and i don;t know if it still
@downdog555:Well maybe at the start of the game because of it long range infantry cannon. Although, later on will boat and buggies it get down fast enough. And about the infantry rush from them, just build some AA and the infantry will be K.I.A.=P

That's the problem with doing a changelist after you've forgotten half the stuff you've done :) One or two of the other things might be wrong too.
So much new stuff! I can't wait to try it out online.
Good idea to keep within the "Release it when it's done" timeframe. We've been waiting for a year, we can wait a little longer for all the awesome things you are doing to come to fruition!

Any luck on the Top Secret Protocols? If not, I had an idea:
Remove them from the game entirely, (once again, not sure this is possible, if not, disable their effects) and replace them with buildings where you buy the upgrades, like in C&C Generals. (If possible)
If they had to do something different, I think they could be more creative than to copy-paste that onto every faction.
It would fit the Syndicate perfectly though.
Yea for sure, it's just an idea and it can be used for one or all the factions, depending on what's possible.
I really like this idea. Tired of all those free superweapons. If it can be implemented, that would be great.

This is what I've been patiently hitting "F5" for during the past 2 days. Unfortunately, I only have 1 day to play with it.
I seriously have no idea if I have 32 or 64bit system, the only the godamn properties says are my OS (Windows XP prof. service pack 3, version 2002) and that's all :/

how can i play paradox online????? when i try to play it it says u don't have the mod,i suppose it refers to the original ra 3 but if noone else is playing paradox how can i play ti?

To increase the chances of getting a game, you might join the Steam group linked to on the forums and post in "The Online Thread".
Also, during and after Paradoxcasts Paradox players gather a lot, its not too hard to find a game then.

I found the beta very good but there are somethings that worry me about the confederates they can not hold out very long against with a sea based. plus the confederates don't seem good in a long drawn out battle as of yet what i have played but i understand there must be many changes and fixes made before the final version of the first half is released. i did get the sea mine to detonate just had to press the special button but its damage is rather low and you need lots of them to cause a lot of damage.
This is in fact valid, because we had plans for that. See, the Confederates will have lots of good infantry, but their vehicles, ships and airplanes are salvaged from parts of other units and thus rather weak. Over the course of the game, they would buy secret protocols to slowly enhance their units with new armour, stronger weapons and better engines, pretty much EXACTLY like Yuriko in her campaign in Uprising. However, due to game limitations, new protocols cannot be made and thus we will have to find a workaround first to solve this.
agree, without the protocols you pretty much have to rush with rocket armed minutemen and mortarmen to win. the ambushes are really cute and fun, but they wont keep you alive once the enemy catches on. and since all the tanks have no armor you cant keep em alive long enough to hit the other base. i know protocols wont work, but maybe a timed system where you get unit weapon/armor upgrades by living. so the longer you can keep the game going, the better your units become. that might be a little complicated... maybe you could just build a building that would take a long time to construct and would give your units better stats. brainstorming
That's one idea that has already been suggested. Sketch said they have a kind-of solution in the making, if it works it's great, if it doesn't we will have to find other ideas.

Hmmmm, units such as Sickles can't be targeted by Confeds anyway... what's the problem with that? ;-)
That is called the Invincibility bug, and it happens to random units for an unknown reason.
I think its one of the highest priority bugs to fix, but no-one seems to know how to fix it ATM.
As far as we are aware, it is not caused by the mod, but by some hidden glitch in the RA3 engine. The sickle was turning invincible even before we had done anything to it, and the same thing with the burst drone.
If anyone does find a solution, feel free to contact me. I will be VERY thankful.

I did a couple of land based battles with the confederates and found out they are very good at long drawn out fights on land vs land if the enemy can not see you plus i also noticed the mortar men don't fire from buildings. i found a good vehicle mix with dunebuggies, bulldogs, m1000, and Lee. I did use a few demo trucks and noticed there damage was not as big as i thought it was going to be. Because of the fact the minutemen are cheap if you build about 20 to 40 of those and a few mortar men and use your mortars as distraction you can tear down your enemies base i also noticed the minutemans' rockets were not as affect against buildings as there gun's were plus if you have enough even infantry don't stand a chance against the rockets plus with good macro's or just switching at the right time they are unstoppable all most. i did have the invincibility glitch 1 time during my matches with the Jackson Apc when i was carrying marksmen down the field to garrison a building. the invincibility went away 5 minutes later. i think the invincibility glitch may have something to do with the given invincibility given by the iron curtain i am not sure it is just a guess. I like the lee's anti air and anti ground capabilities and hope it stays like that but you do have to auto target air unit rather then it doing it on it's own. when i saw the infantry icon's it reminded me of conker alert mod. i also noticed there were 2 of the same color in the selection screen for colors there were 2 cyan this time. and for upgrade purposes on confederates for a idea is make it when you destroy a vehicle, boat, or ship. your units can run over whatever is dropped and get upgraded with better armor more life better rate of fire better fire power more speed or just anything that would seem like a upgrade idk if that idea has been said before but i just thought it yesterday why playing.

It made turret pushing way too easy. You could literally make a line of Spectrum Towers straight to the enemy base.
