= I. Red Alert 20XX - Introduction =
=======================================================

Welcome to Red Alert 20XX. The aim of this mod is to pay tribute to old Command & Conquer games, while giving YR a fresh feel in a brand
new cold war context.

= II. Changelog =
=======================================================

Here are the additions and changes from 1.0 :

New units/important changes :

-Added the Overlord Tank for China. It replaces the Cluster Mines superweapon, which was buggy. It has two variant (Battle Overlord and Tesla Overlord) depending on which Battle Lab was build;
-While not really a new unit, the Armadillo APC was changed from an amphibious APC to a hover APC, the Tortoise APC. It fits more the European Union's focus on high technology;
-The Shagohod Tank is now a superheavy tank, in the same vein as the Apocalypse Tank and the Overlord Tank. It has increased damage, armor and an higher cost. It is also bigger and has a new warheads animation;
-The Scavenger now has a speed boost ability when approching a target. This ability is restored from before v1.0, since it used to cause a game crash;

SFX, graphics and sound :

-The Kirov Airship has a new crashing animation, inspired by MirceaOfRivia's Brutal Yuri Mod!;
-Powerful explosives now send corpses flying when an infatry is killed;
-The Radar Dome now has damage frames, thanks to Atomic_Noodles;
-The Volkov Soldier has a new voice;

Balance :

-The overall damage done by the Apollo Tank has been decreased;
-The overall damage done by the Hoplite has been decreased;
-The damage done to buildings by the Orca Hunter and Orca Spectre has been decreased;
-The damage done to buildings by the Athena Strike has been decreased;
-The damage done to buildings by the Seawolf has been greatly decreased;
-The Apocalypse Tank does more overall damage;
-The Tesla Coil now has a better range;
-The Inferno Cannon now has better accuracy;
-The Chitzkoi Drone now cost more, but has more range on it's leap attack;
-The Pyroscript is now more resistent to all flame-based weapon;
-The Shock Trooper can no longer garrison buildings;
-The Eagle Squad infantry now require more experience to gain veterancy;
-The AI gains more credits by harvesting ore, making sure it won't easily get broke mid-game;

Bugfix :

-The Hammerhead Submarine had no animation on its Elite warhead and sometimes caused the game to crash;
-The Spectre Orca's Elite weapon caused an Internal Error;
-The Tank Hunter did not attack infantries when garrisonned.

= III. How to Install =
=======================================================

1. Download Red Alert 20XX version 1.0 (available here : Moddb.com) and follow the installation instructions;

2. Copy the content of this patch (expandmd57.mix and expandmd68.mix) into your YR directory. Accept the file overwrite when prompted.

3. Use RunAres.bat to run RA20XX in version 1.0.1. Enjoy!
