The third chapter of the period story proposes to build a great looking set that is a fitting place to finalise the story from the fist two episodes that were built by myself with some excellent input from a small group of talented individuals.

And so, as I promised the initial report on the state of the TIS 3 project.
Having attempted to test all the TIS 3 maps in the new Valve SDK, I have to report a significant failure in compatibility. Out of all the maps I ran up only two didn't crash HL2 and even these had either visual or scripted scene issues.
I have attempted new rebuilds and tracking down of errors of the type I repaired in TIS Redux but so
far without success. Quite frustrating as I'm sure you can imagine.
I knew that I would probably have to rework the scripted scenes and thankfully this side of the project was in the most basic of stages anyway. As to the unknown errors that are bugging the maps, this is going to be a slow trial and error process but one that should be faster than a complete remap.
I do know from one error message that I am using 200% of the allocated entity allowance. These are things like models and npc's and as it used to run happily with the old SDK, I can only imagine that this allowance has either been cropped by Valve for some reason, or that some of the entities has been
propagating while I have been away! I hope it does not require splitting a large map into two.
When it comes down to the overall state of progress of the mod and this means things like extra maps, voice acting, sounds and unique models and textures, I would say that it is about 50% complete.
Sadly, as I'm sure you can understand, because of the delay, some team members have had to move on but on a good note the last I heard, a few of these are now working for professional game makers like; Puppy Games, Bioware and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Good luck to ya boys n girls and feel free to drop my name at your meetings. :)
So, I will soon be looking for new talent to piggyback their way to success off of my efforts. Lol
And as to the question, when will it be ready, don't ask!
Thanks for your patience, we will resume normal service as new stocks of 'Agent X' arrives.

Just wondering, do you need any additional voice actors, or are you good on that front?
Always interested in getting some help but VA is going to be one of the later jobs on the mod, hence I am not asking people to wait around until that time comes.
If you have some links to your work you would like to PM over to me, or if you just want to post them here as a bit of an ad for your talent, feel free.
Everything gets stored for future reference.
Hey, this mod looks interesting, but I was wondering if this is the type of game where things just jump out at you, or is this a game that has subtle horror. I have extreme paranoia, but I want to play this. Thanks in advance.
No 'Screamers' in this mod. OK, maybe one.
Alright, thanks a ton!
freezes when i start a new game
This is really bad news!
Not sure what the problem could be, so lets start with...
Did a reboot work?
Is this the first HL2 mod that has failed to run on your system? I have had a few that I could never get to run and had to give up on. :(
Is there anything you have running in the background that you can turn off?
Let me know if you get it working or if there are other symptoms that might help pin down the problem.
Has anyone else out there had this problem?
I just remembered that the narrative text trailed off-screen on two occasions- for the tablet in the first chapter that mentions the Book of Shapes and Forms, and at the alien painting that the player character speculates was drawn by a patient.
Just thought I should mention those since they will be very easy to fix to be included in a future update.
Thanks for the info,
With TIS 3 on the go I'm afraid I don't have much time for updates at the moment but I will keep a note of them and one day...

I don't know of a journal script anywhere, but I remember hearing that the developer of Underhell was going to use something like that in Underhell chapter 1 for keeping track of found journal entries. I myself have little experience in scripting, so I can't be of much help.
