The game takes place in the eve of the Seven Hour War. Fighting against blood shedding synths and frightening aliens, Adrian Shephard has to struggle his way with his fellow comrades from the Phoenix Command, with the main objective of stopping the construction of a Combine Citadel. In his journey he will find what has happened to the world, moments before the Seven Hour War.
Shephard finally meets up with Jake, a decadent survivor who has been guiding our hero through the gloomy sewers using a hacked communication system. They must now struggle for their own survival and at the same time escape from the infested underground of City Fourteen.

It doesn't make much sense that the combs exist without any other signs antlions have been there. Add some grubs, webbing, tunnels connected to the sewer, etc.
There are grubs and there are tunnels connected to the sewer. The grubs aren't shown here because half of the sewers is a constant fight for territory between antlions and bullsquids, so it's most likely that bullsquids vanished off the grubs from this place, but the hives are still there. The tunnels aren't shown here because I just don't see a reason gameplay-wise to put them there, but I can assure you they're on other canals. The webbing isn't here because, well, I honestly forgot about that.
if the bull squids eat ant lion grubs, then why arent the honeycombs hollow? surely that would be a great atmospheric tool as to what territory your heading towards. as well as rewarding the more keen eyed player?
Maybe the combine cleared them out or something happened like an exploded sewer pipe flushed them out. It's also a way to get into the sewer.
Very cool. Nice lighting, would be nice to see some transition from the egg holder things to the passage.
I still have to tell someone to do some sort of organic texture, the hives look really weird being on pure concrete like that.

It's so difficult to place this much content into such a confined area and make it " work " in favor of the map, but you've managed to do so very well. Prime work right here and a testament to your obvious skills. My hats off to you sir !
