Obsidian Edge II: "Theatre of War" (working title) is the groundbreaking sequel to Obsidian Edge being created for Crytek's up coming first person shooter Crysis. With intense realism as well as new game features never before seen in a first person shooter - it will forever change the way you think a first person shooter should be played.
Get ready for edge-of-your-seat action - You will be required to lead assaults on enemy held positions, seek out and eliminate hostiles, perform coordinated missions, and fight for your own survival. In each case you will need to outfit your squad with the proper weapons and equipment, carefully plan your actions with your team, and then execute your plan in order to achieve the objective.
The world of Obsidian Edge is extremely unforgiving. Be ready to test your nerves, tactics and skill against opponents who are just as determined to eliminate you as you are to eliminate them. As your skills sharpen, so do theirs. As your strategy changes, so does theirs. As your teammates rush in, so do theirs. As you put them in your crosshairs, they do the same to you.

We have already added some outstanding folks to the team that produced Obsidian Edge 1, but we are still seeking highly skilled individuals to work with us in the following roles:
We are a mature group looking for mature individuals that work well in a team setting, and have experience in the role that they are applying for. Be prepared to share examples of your work, as well as the amount of time you are willing/able to commit. Signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Crytek is required for these positions.

Hey, any chance of you guys releaing the assets(buildings,props)for mappers?
Yes and no :)
After investing so much time in the mod, we would like to see people mapping for it. Initially the assets used in Obsidian Edge for Crysis will ONLY be available to map for Obsidian Edge. This period of exclusivity will last for a period of 12 months from release, after which individual models can only be used on other tasks with the explicit permission of the original artist.
Sorry if thats not the full release you were hoping for but we hope you can understand.

Is there any possibility of you guys releasing a mini-mod for warhead to add squads to the stock maps? I'm worried that Warhead is going to suffer the same low-pop fate Crysis did if we don't get someone who can code squads in to the power struggle mode. All we need are squads, indicators on the map of squadmates, and utilize the TIA spawn code for spawning next to your squadmates the furthest away from enemies.
Or, since I've been a loyal fan and bought Crysis before it was released purely to play your mod, would you guys give me a hint of where to look into coding the squad stuff myself?
Hey guys, sorry for the long delay in updates here.
We are waiting for the C++ SDK for Warhead to be released, we will then evaluate it before deciding if it is on any value to us to port or make a joint release.

I hope that you guys do a partnership with Crytek or something so that you can sell this retail, you guys are doing some great work, I was looking at some of the tutorials done by one of your members, and although i'm doing internals of buildings as well, I think that the tutorials are very well written.
I would definately pay money for this mod, I didn't take much notice of OE1 but I certainly am taking notice of OE2. Keep up the great work!
