With intense realism as well as new game features never before seen in a first person shooter - it will forever change the way you think a first person shooter should be played. Get ready for edge-of-your-seat action - You will be required to lead assaults on enemy held positions, seek out and eliminate hostiles, perform coordinated missions, and fight for your own survival. In each case you will need to outfit your squad with the proper weapons and equipment, carefully plan your actions with your team, and then execute your plan in order to achieve the objective. Yet another never-to-be-released mod.
Your models are really nice - and the textures are gettnig nicer all the time! Its an honor to be chosen one of the few mods to mod a pre-SDK and I think its because you chose to be different to Crysis and don't try to imitate.
I personally enjoy city environments a lot more in a FPS than Jungle and Island hopping. That I keep for the holiday!

We have taken great care to stay far away from the pretext, storyline, gametypes, and even the models used in Crysis. This is a total conversion mod, not using anything from the base game. We are projecting our own unique gametypes in the the CryEngine 2 environment. So Crysis definitely won't "have it all there", in terms of our content. Obsidian Edge 2 will be a completely separate game.
Keep up the great work, guys. The writing staff will be keeping an eye on your project. ;)

it seems silly to me to make a mod for a game that isnt out yet even if an SDK is available to select few, what if the game is so down right awesome, moding it would be pointless because its all there!? if only if only.
Updated the release date to reflect the delay of Crysis out to at least second quarter of 2007, as publicly announced by EA.
Mods that are formed before a game is released are in pre-production, that way when the game is released, the mod team can get to work with the scripting, mapping, modelling done right away and get the mod out sooner.
