Nova Aetas is set in the world of Calradia, but in a later period. The Old Medieval World is vanishing. A new era is coming and you,
the player, will experience this. Nova Aetas is Latin for A New Era. The main targets are
realism & extended gameplay. I also want to highlight the civil part

I have been modding for four years already. This includes extending the features of the original M&B games by adding a lot of new content - or improving gameplay, and this all mostly done by myself! This takes a lot of effort and time in learning how to model, to texture and to write complex scripts.
My intentions are to offer a pleasant and durable feeling of the game.

Even after the release of a modification I stay updating & bringing out new content. I keep reading feedback, suggestions, bug reports and even watch community videos. Especially the testing side of developing a mod can last long and be aggravating. But seeing the joyful feedback of you does encourage my enthusiasm to continue developing. Making profit has never been my goal. I never ask to be paid for my work and services. Though I give you the option to freely donate a sum of money as a token of appreciation for all time and effort put in offering you a free, pleasant and durable game.

After i installed this mod, none of my mods work anymore at all. I get some odd error, on on the loading screen of every single mod i try to start up, in the corner it says something like "Enbseries Resident Evil 4" and **** like that.

I don't even own resident evil 4, i have no idea what this is. Played mods as late as last night, and as soon as i install this drek, everything ***** up.

Any solution to this? Cause i'm a tad ticked off, i must admit.

If Nova Aetas 4.1 crashes during the loading with "Runtime Error" and you have a pretty old computer, enable "Load Textures on Demand" in menu before starting the mod. That helped me.

Dear Quintillius!

First of all I must say that I was fascinated by Nova Aetas, with the flags bearers, firearms, battles with artillery and grenades... but I hope that you will answer kindly on my questions, or even requests...

1. Good sir, you have build up great statecraft system, though to reach it and test it out is a huge amount of time. (Personally, shame on me, I didn't
get a single town, castle or village for myself, staying simple soldier in the Swadian ranks.)
I ask if the PC would be allowed to start the game as a Monarch of a faction? Either those who are already represented or his very own?
For example, a leader of a minor power in the 14-17 centuries could achieve immortality and greatness like King Henry of Navarre (French king Henry IV) or your great countryman Willem van Oranje.

2. Will you continue on religious wars (protestants vs catholics vs orthodox)?

3. Are going to enlarge the number of outfits of 16-17 centuries?

4. Are you going to add more exotic firearms?

5. What about exploration of New World, and probably, Far East (Japan, China, India)?

I love this mod. I think it really captures the essence of the early Renaissance. I really hope you read this :)

I think you could pull off an awesome Renaissance Italy mod. As in, a mod that takes place in the real world. I, for one, don't see as much of an appeal to the Calradian factions as I do to their Real world historically inspired counterparts. You already have a lot of Italian or otherwise Latin European influence (Zendar, Rhodoks) present in this mod, with many related items, so refitting them into a real life Renaissance Italy setting would be awesome. I would emphasize on the removal of the medieval items, and perhaps even more Renaissance weapons -- for an especial example of this, I was rather disappointed that while the Merchant Republic of Zendar was based on Renaissance Venice (and beautifully so), that there were only the rather primitive Venetian swords which you call Eslavonas, which are very interesting and well-researched, however I would've loved to see a Schiavona or a few, for they are my favorite sword. You don't even have to make a new model if you don't want, you could get the Scottish Broadsword model and texture from With Fire And Sword, which is mistakenly named for it is actually depicted as a unique Schiavona (the developers may have confused it with the Scottish Basket Hilt). Or, you may be able to get a Schiavona model and texture from another Snowbird game, Blood & Gold: Caribbean!, if you happen to own that. (If you don't, it's really good!).

TL;DR: You should add a Schiavona or a few for the Zendar, and with your Italian-influenced assets, make a real life historically inspired Italian Renaissance mod. I think this mod would better suit its Renaissance theme without a majority of the vanilla medieval items, too.

Can someone help?
The game crashes on loading screen it says "runtime error". The thing is I use to run this mod perfectly but after I reset my computer the mod won't start anymore. I've already reinstalled the files needed to run games and I'm able to load other mods besides this. I'm starting to think maybe I missed to install something for this mod.

I have this problem,too.Most of the mods I try to run,when it loads in something called Loadin Initiate Data or something like this,I get a Runtime error.It drove me crazy.

Now,I found a way to get mods work.I have tried two methods at the same time and the mod is working perfectly fine.

Yes,of Course!

I have done two methods at the same time and it worked,but you have to do the second step for every mod!

1st step: Go into the cmd and type in "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2990" without the quotes and restart your system. (Only needed once,except if you have reinstalled your computer because then you have to do it once again)

2nd. step:Then go into the module folder of the mod you want to make working.Search for Module.ini and open it with something like Wordpad.Search for disable_moveable_flag_optimization and set it to 1.

3rd step:Start the mod and test that it don't crashes at "Loading Setting Data"!(The other comment is made by me,too because I wasn't logged in!)

Tested on:Nova Aetas 3.0.2 and other mods!

*Edit*:Just tested on Nova Aetas 4.1 and it works!

I would give it 10 if it wasn't for game breaking glitches. Wasted too many hours on this just to have it ruined because all my ally lords were seemingly disappearing, then I found out why, how can it get to version 4.1 with lords getting stuck forever? Half the swadian faction and nearly all of zendar's were stuck all at once? I personally wouldn't even release this mod with a problem like this.
