its a good mode but y do we have to die at the end?
The first mod I ever played for half-life. Sure has left an impression on me :D
Hey mr_greenfish. I just finished up NatO (with all endings) and read your reply about the various comments on the mod.
I agree that you were able to portray the plight of the everyday-man by purposefully excluding the cross hairs, limiting ammo, and making the first portion of the mod consist of stealth.
I thought this mod was extremely unique, the setting was original, and at a certain point of the mod, I felt genuine sadness and despair about the situation.
In other words, great job on the mod; I loved every second of it!!
This is the 1st time i've checked back on the comments in a long time, i just want to address some of the concerns people have raised in their feedback.
The no crosshair, no healthkits, low ammo situation was a purposeful decision i made. I didnt want to make another game where you play as an unstoppable hero, the idea was to play as a nobody who really needs to fight for their survival and is just as vulnerable as the other people in the game, although in hindsight maybe i should've adjusted the difficulty moreso than i did, sorry.
Also please don't post spoilers; I know a lot of people have played it however it kinda ruins the suprprises for those new to it if they know the ending etc. before playing
After awhile, you get used to no crosshair but there isn't any real excuse for a lack of ironsights.
Jessica why! *BLAM*
i dont like it!!7/10
i got stuck, i didn't finish it!
Great mod, but I had to use cheat codes to beat it or else I would have to start the entire game over! No medkits! Please update and make the health regenerate or something! Also there is no cross hair, not enough ammo, and it's real anoying how it has to load every time you go up and down the stairs!
Downloading it now, it looks really good.
