Korsakovia is a new experimental mod by the makers of Dear Esther. It's a survival horror about delusion, paranoia and the end of the world.
Resolution Magazine said they've "Never played a game that fucked with me so much" and that "It’s rare for a game to instil such panic. It’s up there with ‘Shock 2 and Silent Hill in that respect".
Hide the matches, break the TV screen, gouge out your eyes, turn out the lights and play it on your own late at night.

It's definitely a freaky mod, I still haven't finished it, but I can say it's really, really nice.
please, say that after redone th Dear Esther, Robert Briscoe will remap this mod? :)
Mod was good. I wont say it was the best mod out there. It was a little confusing at some parts, like during the middle, but i managed to get past it, even though i had to noclip at some parts, then realizing my mistakes so i could replay it normally. It was good. Music is awesome as well. 8/10
It's about time someone made a mod that isn't all BANG BANG BANG BANG...
yeah.. you get the picture.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a good FPS.
But after awhile, it gets old.. really old..
As for the mod itself, I have to say I loved it.
The puzzles were hard, but fun.
The storyline was excellent.
The Collectors were about the most unique NPCs I've ever seen.
For a good storyline and the collectors:
10\10
I'm currently playing this mod and I'm having some problems (i think). The first level went fine but when i reached the warehouse, several of the voice clips got static and disturbed, and i keep hearing two sound clip playing at the same time (two Christoffer talking), is this supposed to happen?
Nevermind, I found out his was intentional =)
Hmm, played it, but I have to say, I didn't enjoy it that much.
The enemies were just hell of annoying, due to that scream they made I didn't hear many of the story, they are awful to pass by, as you are mostly walking in tight hallways, it happened pretty often to me that an enemy just pushed me into an edge and I wasn't able to escape at all.
They were especially annoying in the part where you have to jump at such rotating things upwards to a tv which you had to destroy, most of the rotating objects got stuck and I got ever killed because I was neither able to see my enemies, as they were directly under the object I was standing at but they could still hit me, nor were I able to keep in movement as I had to wait for ages until one of the next objects passed by. Also that white flashes were so eyecancer, especially in the last part, I constantly got those flashes, totally annoying while jumping -.-
Also it is really bad that the story is told while playing or beeing in fights, due to problems I already discribed above and as English isn't my first language, I did really hard to listen to the nice voice acts while playing, undertitles where needed.
6/10 but only due to the not so bad music, the horrible good voice acting and the last part which looked quite nice (the rest looked pretty much all the same)
I'm stuck on the beginning of the 2nd level (The open warehouse area). I no longer have the crowbar so I cant bust open the locked gate, and all the ladders to get to the cat walk are out of reach. I tried pushing a box to one which worked, however in doing so I triggered two voice segments at once which makes me think that's not what your supposed to do.
Any suggestions?
You're in the right place. By stacking the box, you can access the ladder to the walkways. Not quite sure how you triggered the double VO though - if you can PM me with the bits of script that fired, that'd be a real help. Follow the walkways and you should reach a vent shaft to take you through to the next bit of map
I liked the game. Although it was extremely atmospheric and suspenseful, it got VERY annoying after a moment. Dying was made way too easy, there was no way to kill the collectors without getting myself hurt.
Also, it was quite frustrating when the levels started repeating at the end. When I thought I had broken all the screens and finally entered the last door, I was sent back into the start and having to do it all over again. Without a weapon.
Nevertheless, the atmosphere was excellent. I must say I preferred Dear Esther.
