I've uploaded two new things to the download site. The first is a fully patched version of Korsakovia, so this is the one to grab if you don't already have the mod. Do the normal unzipping thing into your SourceMods folder.
The second is the patch itself, which you can apply to existing downloads of Korsakovia. It's a much smaller download, so opt for that if you have already grabbed the game once.
Thanks to everyone who mailed in suggestions and support - it's really appreciated, and hopefully we'll be announcing a new project soon.

This patch by William Cook repairs the flashlight and Collectors. It should be installed after the V1.1 patch by Doogie4Ever onto your existing build...
This patch fixes the Source update errors in original versions of Korsakovia. Alternatively, you can download v1.1 (this will be quicker). The patch was...
Just because you asked so nicely... here's the script for Korsakovia.
"The paramedics report that they were unable to find his eyes. We think he may have eaten them.".... O_o thats what the mods about?
yeah so... I have never finished this because I have not been able to play it in over a year. It just crashes on start. Patches made it worse.
Keeps crashing in the warehouse after I get the crowbar. I get the crowbar, get off of the big floating boxes and ****, go out of that room, and as I turn the corner around these boxes, it crashes. Also, as I leave that room and near the area it crashes, it plays the same audio twice on top of eachother. I REALLY want to continue playing this. It's one of the few games that's actually scared me. Those screaming shadow things just freak me out. (I'm terrified of shadows.)
I have the same issue. I have not been this interested in a mod since Minerva back in 2007, please tell me someone has found a fix for this.
Minerva: Metastasis? that one was AWESOME!
I want to people to play it...but it keeps crashing at the factory level. When you get your crowbar back.
Having a problem with repeated crashes. In the warehouse map, at certain reproducable points, the game will inexplicably lock up and crash to desktop. hl2.exe spits out MDMP files but I have no way of reading them. How can I fix this?
Great mod so far though, at least up until the crashing part.
To all the people who keep making comments about this MODs confusing and hectic gameplay, moaning about complex level structure and unrelenting enemies.
I think it’s important to say that you are playing a character that is insane. You have Korsakov’s syndrome, you have not perception of past events and you live in the present, while your mind fills in the blanks, with anything it can. I think that is the reason for the strange and complicated levels that also appear un-detailed and generic.
I think when playing anything 'The Chinese Room' creates its important to remember that they are more like... experiences then actual games. There is a significant difference in what they are trying to do then games like… lets say Call of Duty or something more mainstream like that.
Yes, but the reason this doesn't excuse bad game design should be evident. Imagine if I made a game where the character has severe pyromania, so every single surface of every single object was made out of fire. Even if your computer didn't immediately explode from trying to load thousands of complex lighting and animation elements, the game would be unplayable due to taking damage from every surface.
It saddens me, it really does, that Korsakovia is very nearly unplayable. It has potential, but between excrutiatingly bad audio cuts, monsters that can crash the game if you so much as LOOK at them (quite literally) and maps that are so prone to crashes that it's possible to ruin your file by quicksaving in them... it's not even an experience, just a frustrating exercise of patience as you reload and try again as it continually crashes and locks up. And then if you actually manage to make it work, it's almost impossible to win anyway.
Rate down my comment eh?
