The Homeworld2 EX mod started as a compilation mod from some of the released works on the relicnews forums. But that’s not what it is today.
One of the reasons I made this is so everyone can have their cake and eat it to! So many great little things out there, and yet we can’t play but one at a time! So here is a nice chunk of stuff all playing together!
The Core Idea I had in mind was to add to the game, without changing it. Though I added a race, I did my best not to through the balance out of whack. Progenitors start with a lot of power, so I gave everyone 3 destroyers to even it up.

I just wanted to give the people here the same information I put out in the forums.
As you all know, a lot of people would like to see a V3. I wanted to ask for your help.
My standards for making anything are very high, and in this case, V3 has to meet a lot of those, and beat V2 in almost every way. I know its a big task, but I have to admit, being a full time Dad things like this tend to go on the back burner.
So I wanted to make a promise to you all. I added a donation button to the read me link (in the readme of the mod) if total donations reach enough to put gas in my car twice, I will make time to put out a mod that rightfully deserves the title "V3".
This way, I dont feel so bad for getting email's "Awesome mod! I love it, when is V3 Comming!"
You guys have been great! And thanks for making V2 so popular!
If you guys show your willing to chip in, then I will make something really worth it.

Spell things properly? Nice looking mod and all but do you really have to go as far as call frigates "frigs" in the UI? It kinda goes against the whole technically "realistic" style of the game. Random capitalisations are weird aswell.
well all i can say that there are not going to be any up-dates
i always thought that Hiigarans were more advanced then the vaygrs and thought it would be cool if the frigates and bigger ships had a shield. Not the shipyard or mothership but the BC and destoyers and stuff, for just an extra bar of health so you can have a limited number ships and go up agianst overwellming odds which always happens to me
