The Homeworld2 EX mod started as a compilation mod from some of the released works on the relicnews forums. But that’s not what it is today. One of the reasons I made this is so everyone can have their cake and eat it to! So many great little things out there, and yet we can’t play but one at a time! So here is a nice chunk of stuff all playing together! The Core Idea I had in mind was to add to the game, without changing it. Though I added a race, I did my best not to through the balance out of whack. Progenitors start with a lot of power, so I gave everyone 3 destroyers to even it up. Ok, EX MODers due to the overwhelming EX MOD games i am seeing and the awesome response, I want you all to know I am going to commit to V3, as with v2 and v1, v3 will have more changes then v2 did from v1... I am guessing v3 is going to be in the 150mb area. maybe more. Whats on the Drawing board right

Whats on the Drawing board right now----

1-- I will need you guys support, I want to know what kinda of music you want, cause I am gona go and change all of it. thats gona be based on you guy's prefs. There will be a poll for the music types later.

2-- Custom SoundFX in some places

3-- More balancing to Progens (A LOT MORE) no more double pumping Sajuuk or Dreadnaughts? How you may ask? Cap limit of 1 light keeper, Subjugated Carrier's get to build Drones, and attack keepers. Attack Keepers will only get to build drones.

4-- Up to Level 3 upgrades for EVERYTHING that normal upgrades, based on stat equations of the level 1 and 2 upgrades. (maybe level 4)

5-- More progen units... How am i going to do this ? Only awesome people like greggy and others can help that, i just need HOD files of Progen looking stuff... I may break down and try, but I would rather use scraps of other modelers, I am pefectly happy to do the skins myself even, for anyone that would be so kind as to help in this area.

6-- Lowering the rate of fire and consideration for "NOT SO 3ghz" machines, however the damage per second values will be maintained.

7-- Missile turrets subs for Vaygr (that look like missile launchers) again I think someone can help me pull the turrent of the vaygr platform, it shouldn't be too hard.

8-- Vaygr Combat Crusier will get 2 Subsystem slots, and the Extra turrets will be relocated... I would like to make the MicroTrinity cannon have differnt projectiles. Its gona get a EVIL missle launcher instead of the stock one.

9-- Ion Crusier upgrades

10-- Some more creative upgrades??? wierd stuff i am toying with.

11-- I would really like to make BLANK platforms, that you actually can build whatever you want on them... Gravwell, Plat turret, flak turret, what not... debating wether or not this would confuss all the Buildable units when players hit the "B" button to scroll like i do now.

12-- BC Main weapons you must build after you make the BC (of course the BC will cost about half)????? toying with this one... cause i could then make some new MAIN weapon options, however once you build them, I would make them still only damageable. but its still an idea i am only toying with..

13-- Blank Destoryers, I would like to have a destoryer thats like only 1000 RU but with no Weapons, and you can pick all the weapons you want, it cost more after you load it up, but its more specialized... this was someone's idea i hope they will lend a hand for that idea.

14-- Defenders get Cannons! Yea, they need something with real kick, and basically think GunShip Corvet with Forward Fireing guns (2x) and 1 intercepter gun.

15-- Pulsar Gun Fighter accuracy, I thought I fixed this in v2, but they are still not Accurate enough.... its way messed up still, sooooo I am going to see to it, they get almost 100% accuracy with vets and Utility ships like they are suppose to be based on their rate of fire.

16-- New ships??? I am gona ask for Greggy's Moderinzation ships usage... some of those are REALLY COOL, and i would really like to get that Higgy BC in on this, and maybe that Vaygr BC too!

17-- Some usage of the Defense field Frigate... maybe a large area Sajuuk Beam Disapater???

18-- lots of other stuff... this is just wants on my mind atm... I WANT YOUR OPIOINS & IDEAs! you guys helped spawned most of these ideas i have had, by asking me questions and such alone!

great, can't wait, especially the Progens balancing issue, hope you can make the carrier abit faster OR you can make the light keeper dock-able.

i love the blank platform/destroyer idea, though the platform i think should be able to have these stuff build (one at a time only):
-Guns, which are what you've mentioned
-normal subsystems (eg, Hyperspace, Hyp Inhybs, fire control tower, etc)
-docking platform for strike crafts to dock (this one is the one i really want to see in v3, cos have you had times when you've got 8 RCs and 2 MobileR with 10 platforms and 15 strikecrafts and get attacked!! then you'll have to send in the carrier or BC to repair the strike crafts!!! if only there's a dockable platform in the middle of the place!! it'd make life much, much easier ;)

the blank BC is also a great idea, so i can have
Assault-like BC + one Cap-ship poper BC + one anti-strike-craft BC

I found V2 very good how about in V3 adding the somtaw from homeworld catacysum it should be fun to swing a siege cannon around

i think you should macke the gate like a ship yard and the power generaters should be like reserch modules.
