Post news Report RSS TRAGEDY! ALL WORKS SUSPENDED!

My laptop is broken, I'm no longer able to make this mod until I get enough money to repair my computer.

Posted by on

My laptop is dead completely on Jun 27th 2012, repairing it could cost so much that I'm very unlikely to afford in the foreseeable future. Basically I can't play Homeworld 2 on my old laptop (the one I'm typing with now), so my work progress is infinitely suspended from now on.

Fortunatelly, I successfully backed up my last piece of work
(changes made since Complex Simple 2.1), so that I can return to it someday, supposing I still remember it in that distant future... Albeit there will be no update from now on, I can still answer your questions, as long as this old laptop is lucky enough to survive.

How overly dramatic. I'll give you minor sympathy for the loss of a computer though.

What exactly is dead? If it is simply your hard drive you can buy one online at places like newegg.com or amazon and replace it yourself. It is usually pretty simple but if you're unsure, there are plenty of online video tutorials and such. Good luck and I hope everything is back up and running smoothly again soon.

My laptop is back to life by itself!
I don't know if it will break again, but from now on I'm going to use it very carefully

Hm. I accidentally drowned my computer's trackpad once, and with what can really only be called 'circuit therapy' it works just as well as it did before. This laptop's three years old and just had a battery replacement; it looks like I won't be needing a new laptop any time soon.

So anyway, you might want to find some executable that requires far more processor power than your laptop can normally provide, and make it run that. Put it on a surface that will force heat to concentrate in the computer, and that should forcibly evaporate any remaining liquid. Keep it stressed for a little while.
