What if I explode into gibs, does my vision instantly go black in that case?
Nope, defaults to the spinning overhead cam. I did consider making it go instantly black for extra realism but I am still undecided.
If he is augmented, shouldn't there be interference to the camera and some distorted fadeout?
Interference: the nanomachines in the bloodstream would not cease to function until the host is fully gone I'd imagine, and there would only be interference if the eye is damaged.
Distortion/fadeout: this is in, it just doesn't happen right away.

Thanks for answering, I think that was a good decision, since looking at the resulting gore mess would be more enjoyable than all vision instantly being terminated.
Yep, not to mention I fixed the gore issue (player rarely gibbed to explosives vanilla, including rockets directly to the face) and also added plasma gibbing.
I noticed that too. I thought it kindy looked funny though; a rocket straight to JC's face and he just fells backwards like a plank. XD Gotta love the animations in the older games.
This is a great addition, although I have to ask: Is there also going to be one death animation where you get hit by a high powered weapon and get knocked back whilst fading out? Or is it going to be like Human Revolution where it doesn't matter if you get hit by a shotgun you'll still collapse like normally?
At the moment there is:
DeathFront (substitutes third person deathFront anim).
DeathBack (Subs third person deathBack anim).
Airborne death.
Drowning death.
Gibbed (defaults to third person cam).
More may be added, but this is adequate if not.
