Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.
before my actual new code addition, i have had 8-13 FPS on that scene :)

the picture shows how this map starts, selecting your playercharacter, each character have a different model and different values which heavy affect gameplay and your personal gamestyle (atleast i hope that ^^.
i does not have actually decided what happens if a person is not strong enough to carry crates or big stones to solve a level puzzle i have. for such cases (for example) i have to insert additionally puzzles (lets say this character can run faster and jump a little bit more, so that whould be a way for a different puzzle, will see)
i also have to keep in mind that you can train every character in strongness and fitness and that strongness also depends on health, which is also affected by food consumption, you may imagine what a hell it is to create intresting and working puzzles for this :D

yes! but imaginate you can play the game again with a different character which changes really the gameplay :)
I like more variations so I will play for all of them.
than you need to be good, because not all characters are availible in all difficulty levels :D
btw, what about a discussion about replaying the level: i often have heared that players prefer then to keep their weapons and bonusses they have earned in first playtrough. its not really supported by farcry and i never have thinked about how to implement such a thing.
Well I’m playing Far Cry only on Realistic so I would have all characters.
I think I should keep weapons and stuff from previous level (I’m currently playing FC mod: Catalyst Aftermath and I have great stuff but I have lost most of them expect grenades).
It’s much more realistic to have stuff from previous level (like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series).
I'm not talking about levels: opcl is MAP based, (ok, beside the main story line which HAVE levels), but for example this map is a own single standing map, not "leveled" or connected with another map (yet). so, suggesting the player have finished this map and want to replay it with a different character: keep last weapons from finished the same map ?
Well if it is a completely different character then no.
I think that would break immersion for a player when he gets automatically all stuff from previous character but I want to replay some map I would get only that what I have before that map.

That would be great. It would be best to create some (news) article and those who read it they would explain their options about that and then they will decide how it will be.

Ehm, probably not, but it could be a good reference to the Fort level easter egg. (maybe like some kind of bonus?)
aaaah sorry, i dont think that this would work :D btw, this was no easteregg, its just a "bug", there is no animal detection in farcry so the jeep does not know that the driver is a pecary, i have fixed that in devkid and have inserted a animal class ;(
