Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

little give away for farcry modders:

i created a tank minimod, base on a nice mp map, nrw_winter_1944. two tanks, T72and BMP.
so, take that as modding base for your own tank scripts and games.
-player can use 2 different tanks
-AI drive one tank
have fun!
Reflex-studio.com ~40mb (7zip or winrar needed for extracting)
(ps.: its designed as SP but it also COULD work as MP, you probably have to remove the placed AI's. this mod was done in about 90 minutes, so please dont expect any missions ! it was only to have "something" around the tanks ).
t72 have two weaponmodes, MG and Canon !

note that this map and minimod have NOTHING to do with devkid or OPCL, i just ripped out the tank code from devkid because comunity asked since years for working tanks in farcry.

i have updated the mod, the turret is now removed after exploding and i deactivated in scripts the pieces explosions string, so the destroyed model of tank is spawned instead. unfortunately its not the correct one and have a false rotation, so you have to start 3dsmax and do a own destroyed tank model, but its thought as BASE four your own tank mod, so you have to do some work byself atleast the sounds and speed and agility need to be changed.

Jerikho found a bug which affects non turret vehicles on blow up which was caused by my as i inserted the turret removal on blow up event.
in vehiclecommon.lua

function VC:BlowUpClient()

self:SwitchLight(0); -- switch off attached lights
self:OnRemoveTurret(); --pvcf

replace the --pvcf marked line with that complete thing:

if self.Properties.Clearing and self.Properties.Clearing.object_ModelTankTurret and self.Properties.Clearing.object_ModelTankTurret ~= "" then
self:OnRemoveTurret(); --pvcf
end

(or reload the tank mod, its now fixed inside)
