great exciting news image - FarCry Operation Clearing mod for Far Cry

good news :)
some very exciting and interesting changes happend to the project :)
i moved the project to UnrealEngine4.5 !
to make it good performing also on old 4 Core CPU's with only 3.8 GHZ and slow 970 Nvidia cards, i reduced the viewing range slightly, and also i got finally rid of that ugly fog, now we have clear view in all directions up to the horizon!

as next great addition i added the all loved auto heal function! so its now never needed to search hours and hours for medipacks or collect food! you can now concentrate to the gameplay, which brings me to a additional new gameplay mechanic!

we all know, how complicate it is to do all things all the time by own, so i added tons of ingame QTE sequences, where you can push a button from time to time to trigger a animation, but IT'S NOT necessary! even if you don't press a button during all the quick time events, the game proceed, so you can lean back to enjoy a cinematic entertainment. ofcourse i know how boring a game is, which need hours and hours and hours to play, so i connected the QTE events and youcan watch and finish the game within 30 minutes or less! (including loading times from 10 minutes).

but what about more groundbreaking news? no savepoints! you have readen correct!
you can save as many times you like, but to speed up the gameplay and get rid of all the
stupid reloading, it's now not possible to die !
i call this system "Rubberband AI" : if the game recognize that the player is hurt, and will die by next hit, the AI scales down, unless the autoheal have done his job to the player :)
for even more comfort its now not needed to run stupid trough uninteresting points in the map and search for ammunation: player will have unlimited ammo for all weapons! i needed nearly 2 years of heavy coding for this feature, but finally its in!
a strong drawback was also the exclusion of all the console gamers, who never could play such a fine game because in lack of keyboard and mouse skills: Operation Clearing can (keyboard and mouse are not supported anymore), be played with a gamepad!

ofcourse i inserted a very well working autoaiming system, which fantastically interacts with the new QTE system, so its even not anymore needed to press all the time the walk forward button (what a stupid thing this was!).
OPCL will do this for you! just concentrate on shooting and watching the nice quick time events :)

you see it all works well together for a new bombastic entertainment product!
ofcourse all this nice stuff have his drawbacks:
for a good framerate a decent rigg is needed, but no worries, here is a clear video which shows how to build the needed PC and what you need as minimum hardware: Youtube.com
also the game will be moved to steam early access and will cost a symbolic fee of $85.- for early adopters :)

but there is more to anounce! since some months i work also on the successor, OPCL2, which will be much better in all belongings.

due to some critics last time i also deactivated all gore, blood and changed all enemy models to robots, which even can't die, because i try to get a "playable from age of 3 years" rating, which is a good thing, because more customers means more money !
