Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

i quad sized the resolution of the garbage texture set, so the second mipmap is doubble better in quality than the original one for ultra high quality (texture quality in options). basically this allows to play in quality "high" but have some textures in ultra high quality.
unfortunately playing the whole map in ultrahigh qause a 32bit memory overflow (2gb WIN treshold), which cause 80% framedrops and crash to desktop or immediately crash to desktop :(
my plan was: playing in a 64bit OS allows a adressspace for running a 32bit dll of 3gb / thread, which usually works (works also with editor), BUT, the farcry.exe refuse this 3gb switch :( (atleast my no cd cracked one do this, never tested it with the original fc.exe).
That's a pity. I hope that there will be some fix and hopefully someone come with a solution for it or maybe NTCore can help, but I have tried it only for a few programs.

usually there must be a single bit setted in a 32bit dll which allows them to run in a 64bit OS with 3gb userspace.
i have a special program from microsoft which can add this bit (however they do this) to any exe you like, but in this case with fc.exe it does not work / have not effect. game crash at 1.9gb ram usage.
NTCore is an application which allows you to use more than 2GB on older games which doesn't use more than 2GB (or 3 in the Far Cry 1 case). There is also another application like this and its called CFF Explorer.
