Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.
believe it or not, i needed HOURS for that smoke -.-
You place lots of particleeffects for it or?
its only one single particle effect, which draws ~150m smoke. the mainproblem was to get it smoth outfadet and dont looking strange in movement (you know the smoke have to rotate all the time in his self). first i have had a muuuch better looking one, with "draw line" option on in tile section, this gives a very very smoth cloudy smoke but it will end immediately somewhere without outfading :( i think a man can spend months in CE particle editor :) nice tool but hard to beat -.-
cant wait to kill the enemies and go stealth which works awesome with the far cry AI system :D
i maybe have to redesign the current guard positions. i placed them in view "how would i place them if i would be the commander of that area", that means snipers on roofs which can look the important streets inside the fab. this snipers can comunicate with radio with soldiers/guards on bottom. by testings i always was screwed withing 10-20 seconds if one sniper have seen me walking around in fab area. crytek AI walking then along the streets to my position where the snipers on roofs take care that i can't leave fast enough the positions where i was spotted last :D its maybe a little bit to hard :D will see how i solve that, because i'm not a friend of unrealistic guard placement. atleast this game is planned (in hardest difficult level) as simulation.
in lower difficult levels the snipers have a lowered sight range and reaction time, maybe its enough and that area already works, need much time to test out such things.

thank you :) the important thing was to have something in the sky which "covers" on top the fab area in a decent direction, and show that this thing is alive and at work. the intresting thing (not viewable on static picture) is, that the clouds move in exact different direction. will add some birds and also high flying planes to bring more live in it.
