Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.
Is it destructible?
hmmm currently only parts. but i think i can male it complete destructible, will take ~1-2 hour of work :D
Good to hear! It’s better to have some destruction than no destruction at all.
atleast there are only some view static objects, nearly all is interactive, carryable, destroyable, usable, you have never the feeling that the scene is "dead" and "static" (like in so many games).
I remember back in 2007 when call of duty 4 came out everyone saying it’s amazing but I really missing one very important thing and that was physics. Now in 2014 call of duty still have the same physics. Even Far Cry 1 has better physics in many things than the newest call of duty titles.
And thanks to you Far Cry 1 now have even bettered physics than before.
yeah but the cons are heavy: extreme CPU load and i have to remodel EVERY single object to create a own low poly physichull around. the same for destroying objects: i have not only to model all the destroyed states, (with low poly physichull), i have also to model all the single broken pieces for the little particles that you emit by shooting with. a static non destroyable and nonmovable environment allows you to achive 3 times higher framerates. but i actually give a **** about as i have on my 6 years old gear >30 FPS.
Wow that’s a lot of work. But it’s worth it.
