Eclipse of Existence is a modification for the PC game Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War that introduces the Necrons as a playable race.

This will include a variety of artwork you know from the tabletop, and most of the units such as the warrior, wraith, and lord. Original concepts and designs are also under way, extrapolating from existing art pieces to give Necrons their unique looking tech tree. Custom visual FX and audio are also being created for the mod.

With respect to gameplay and features, the famous (or infamous) "We'll be Back" rule will be part of the race, as well as other abilities unique to Necrons.

NOTE: Eclipse of Existence will require the official Winter Assault expansion pack to function.

You certainly are an idiot by the modern definition.

Do you really believe that the game is balanced based on fluff? That all the units were created based on fluff? That unit stats for the tabletop are based on fluff? You are dead wrong. This is a Warhammer 40K is, first and foremost, a tabletop game. They do not sit around and go "okay, I've got this nifty idea for a race. let's write all the fluff down for them then create units to fit it". Unit stats, points cost, and vulnerabilities come about by way of playtesting, not fluff writing. When the Necrons first came out, way back when they looked more like constructs of Mars than the menace they are today, there were no Immortals or destroyers. They were released later to give the Necrons a bit more firepower otherwise not many people would have been playing them.

If we're going to go by fluff, then I guess phase out should be a good thing since it technically keeps you from losing more troops. Your army should get a VP bonus for phase out. However as we all should know, phase out on the tabletop is not a good thing.
Going by fluff, even a destroyed monolith should be able to regenerate, including missing portions since they can do so as mentioned on page 10 of the codex. However that wouldn't do much for game balance would it?
Going by fluff, Nightbringer should have a nightmare field around strong enough to make people gouge their own eyes out and Ultramarines act more like Khorne Berzerkers, since he does in the novel Nightbringer. However he doesn't does he, despite the fact the novel Nightbringer and the codex were written together.
Going by fluff, in Battlefleet Gothic, the Planet Killer should be a far more fearsome ship than it is since fluff describes it as a monolithic vessel which was nigh-unstoppable. However that's not the case either.
I state again. Fluff does not equal Balance. Nor does fluff equal game rules. This is a concept you seem to be having trouble with. Your whole standing seems to be "this is how I see it and I am correct". Hardly a convincing arguement. You also have not given anything to back up your claims.

Now getting back to the topic of you creating your own mod. Who the hell are you to say what a mod should or should not be if you're not going to put forth your own time to work on one? Clearly you've got spare time enough to post places such as here and Relic. Your claim of lack of time is not convincing, neither is your claim of lack of skills which you could teach yourself as many modders have. Clearly you just want other people to do things for you rather than have to invest any effort yourself.

Oh yes, as to the ancient definition of idiot...

History
It was originally used in ancient Greek city-states to refer to people who were overly concerned with their own self-interest and ignored the needs of the community. Declining to take part in public life, such as (semi-)democratic government of the polis (city state), such as the Athenian democracy, was considered dishonorable. "Idiots" were seen as having bad judgment in public and political matters. Over time, the term "idiot" shifted away from its original connotation of selfishness and came to refer to individuals with overall bad judgment?individuals who are "stupid."

So you are more concerned with your own self interests thatn what is best at whole: such as how you view fluff and what the game should be in your opinion rather than what is actually best suited for the game. And also seen as having bad judgement. Yeah, I guess that does fit you rather well. So you're an idiot in both the ancient meaning and the modern as well.

I've alredy said that i don't have any skills nor time, especially time, because i could learn some stuff and get some people to help,i was ony trying to find ANY alternative for You that You wouldnt have to leave such of( great) work unfinished/wasted ,and yes i'm an idiot, but in the ancient meaning of this word(if you don't know it, google it)as you seem not to get that in the tt is first fluff than balance that is part of fluff,so you are wrong here(sorry),if You can't understand it it's Your problem, not mine

Eclipseofexistence.com

CLR has stated so himself.

Now, Switchking, you are an idiot. Fluff is NOT balance no matter how you try to spin it. If you're so convinced that Fluff = Balance why don't YOU try creating your own mod, hmm? IF you can't do that, then shut the hell up.

In tt You have everything toned down, as it would be hard to play if every unit would be in range of fire at the beginning, proportion of strenght of units is still the same or very close to the fluff definition, every army is release with it's fluff simultaneously,You forget that the army creation proces starts from the thought who they will be, than they create concepts, miniatures, and then they test it and give them additional rules which most of them has an explanation in the fluff.
As for DoW there are some limitations,so it is hard to put there every rule but still You can make it very simmilar to the codex
And yes I'm concentated on my own life because i can decide about it and i don't care what is comming down in politics which totally is out of my control aswell as other people, that i shouldn't push them to change anything agains their will,
i don't want to be ofensive against you so i just end it right now, i would sugest you to think before you call somebody an "idiot" or "moron" next time,it provide bad about You, but ofcourse it is Yours problem not mine...

Thank you for proving my point, because fluff does not equal balance. If you were to create a mod based purely on fluff the C'tan would be invincible on the tabletop and in DoW since they are in fact gods. Do you think gods are going to be killed by things like puny human weaponry?
