Eclipse of Existence is a modification for the PC game Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War that introduces the Necrons as a playable race.
This will include a variety of artwork you know from the tabletop, and most of the units such as the warrior, wraith, and lord. Original concepts and designs are also under way, extrapolating from existing art pieces to give Necrons their unique looking tech tree. Custom visual FX and audio are also being created for the mod.
With respect to gameplay and features, the famous (or infamous) "We'll be Back" rule will be part of the race, as well as other abilities unique to Necrons.
NOTE: Eclipse of Existence will require the official Winter Assault expansion pack to function.

i really couldn't care less if the models aren't finished or have something elses sounds etc, must have what has been left of this necron mod so i can enjoy destruction with the arch nemisises of the galaxy... *deep breathes*
it is likely that (as said before) work is still being carried out but very slowly and CLR has his/her own problems to take care of and with the second expansion dawn of war 40k: dark crusade coming with necrons and tau the tau mod and this necron mod are more or less just for fun putting in what the mod makers would like to see in a mod, welding virtual bits and bobs together for the entertainment of all who wish to be entertained by people with skill
i was thriled to see a necron mod on this site but now it has being pushed out of the way by a full scale expansion being deveolped by a fellowship of corporations
maybe the mod will at the last minute start up again before it is given a ceremonial burial and then it can be stored in a proverbial cryo capsule for future generations
Although it is true that the next expansion will have necrons, it also has tau and the tau mod hasn't stopped - it's still going strong. It was the same story with the steel legion mod and winter assault.
so why don't you continue like them?
That is really sad. I mean there was so much effort into this mod, and for what? nothing......well at least what they did they did good necron mod i salute you *salutes*
