Djora rebuilt is a large extension for TES III Morrowind.
Its based northwest of Solstheim, and will not conflict with any other mod.
Djora itself is NOT a TC, but will have its own story, mainquest and tons of subquests and secrets.
While we try to get as much detail and beauty as we can into Djora, we try to keep it runable on a 1.4 Ghz CPU!
The continent of Djora lies to the *direction* of the tamrielic isle of Morrowind. Currently, Djora chokes under the iron grip of it’s madman king Andus Morf. Andus has severed the trade routes to Morrowind, due to the dubious claim that a shipment of grain was infected with corprus. Strangely enough his own stock-pile of food never seems to run low, while his subjects continue to starve. Tamrielic merchants visit at irregular intervals, charging exorbitant prices for the simplest goods, far more than the average Djoran can pay. Rumours of a new cult in Djora have recently been proven true when the cult publicly announced itself. While they claim to be an association looking to back entrepreneurs of a heroic persuasion in the pursuit of suitably noble deeds such as murdering dragons and stealing their treasures to feed the starving masses, their true intentions are much more treasonous.
Djora is divided into three main islands. The northern island is freezing cold and is mostly covered by ice and tundra and is populated by hardy men and beasts who have learned to endure the cold. The southern isle is desert and is host to old myths, superstitions and the terrible unknown. Many a man has ventured into the ancient sands never to return. The only men to inhabit the desert are the mysterious nomads who never stay too long in one place. The desert had other inhabitants however, medusas and wyverns stalk the dunes while ancient undead guard their crumbling pyramids and forgotten crypts. The central isle holds the throne of the imperial monarchy. In the capital, Dan Malock, Andus Morf and his cronies govern the kingdom surrounded by the sycophantic cretins otherwise known as the nobility.
There is in fact a fourth ‘island’ though this term can only be applied loosely, for it actually hovers above the city of Hawk-eye, keeping it in constant shadow. This is the wizards disc and is unsurprisingly inhabited by wizards. The wizards regard the rest of Djora as, quite literally, below them and have little to do with their laws or day to day life.
Despite the current situation, Djora still remains a beautiful scenic land and it’s rich culture endures. It’s people however go hungry and grow bitter and poor. Conflicts between the different cultures are, sadly, on the increase and an air of hostility hangs over most of the cities. You managed to find yourself passage to Djora on one of Andus Morf’s ships bound for one of his private docks. You soon discovered that was where the cult was based, right under Andus’s proverbial nose. Having been recruited by the Cult you now have the chance to bring Djora out of the dark times it has fallen into and unite it’s people once again, as long as you don’t get yourself killed that is....

The Morrowind mod: Djora, is progressing further each passing day, and now we are in the final stages of the "physical" parts of editing! We are happy to announce that previous problems like Real-life matters, and lack of staff is no longer presistent, so we will continue our work until the end! No ETA yet, though we are working faster now than before, so the release date for January 2005, can probably be pushed even further towards present time!
As for those who don't know anything about this mod, but DO love the game: Morrowind, we encourage you to take a look at our Mod profile, as well as our website.
