It's not just antivirus being paranoid, DO NOT SET AN EXCEPTION.
I downloaded the patches again from a different mirror and it runs without issue. (No changes to AV exceptions etc)

There is no reason to be rude, man. I was simply saying kaspersky had flagged it. I know it wasn't actually a virus same as I know that kaspersky can be a pain sometimes in the same fashion.

I rely on kaspersky as I have to do my banking on the same PC. The overzealous security on mods is just a trade off I live with for peace of mind

It's not just Kapersky. Windows Defender from *Microsoft* is saying that there's a trojan. It might be worthwhile to simply write an .hta file: Stackoverflow.com in vbscript or jscript. While I'm happy to make an exception, Microsoft really likes to scare (warning on unzip/access, needs elevation to unquarantine, then needs to open another menu entirely and elevate to whitelist).

Kaspersky tends to be an "overzealous" antivirus software, even if you set it to low security settings. You might as well get another one.

I would but I also do financials on my PC and kaspersky provides a comfortable level of security. Its a annoying trade off but one I live with.

I'm also playing the challange on hard with a trainer. For me theres nothing more relaxing and switch off from everyday life than spamming units in C&C without much thinking about, just having fun. Even that is not easy though.

Instead of the kid before I dont beg or complain about that. Just want to say thank you for you guys work!

Same to me, but i only mod the rank.ini file so all the superpower would be avaliable which make game harder to play but it is so fun. But dont get me wrong I didn't like the contra not because of the performance or the contents they make, but the challenge map is the problem i hate, especially using the same original map content for zero hour im kinda sick for play the same map over and over. Same situation with other mods as well. if i want to make a map challenging i already do it by now but i dont really have time to make.

(I mean the tank, nuke, superweapon, laser, airforce, stealth and toxin maps.) That is just my own reason but dont take it at heart. I still like to play this one as the good news. This kind of level im still enjoyable.

I bet some of the other have positive and negative notes. But i never intend to make a hate just like that particular guy who just want to play with cheat. Even i can play cheat but i never speak with this kind of tone that idiot spicebomb just make at the first place cause i still respect them for making this kind of mod for enjoyment.

if possible, i would make the easy gameplay just for the people who cant really play at medium and hard mode in youtube which those people just impossible to play medium and hard mode since someone is already playing hard mode. if you want me to post an easy mode im ok with it. the hard mode i would like to link to other youtuber unless i would tell you when i play at hard when the next patch or new version comes. It it ok for you guys??

Now to answer your comment: devs are currently working on a third patch to make up for the drawbacks found in the second one. But frankly I am a bit surprised that there is someone out there making an obnoxious and disrespectful comment about their cheat trainer no longer being compatible with the mod; I Don't see in what way Contra's dev team is at fault for this issue since we're not the ones creating cheat trainers in the first place nor even supporting them.

Ah yes, i understand from your comment. It is just frustrated that someone out there to make a trainer. I know cheat engine is one of them since i already tested few years back but it just makes no fun. As you say, there is a trainer i might know why they want to make it. I suspect for a simple reason, "it is too hard" or some sort of give up comment so they make this instead. If possible one day i believe you guys can take the sources out by locking down the code that makes the hacker unmakable to make trainer in future.

But still, im looking forward to see the next patch. From the time being, im playing the easy mode with rank edited to full purpose for making the game harder to play. It would be shown with video soon but that is only for those who cant play the game. Peace :D

We can't prevent people from hacking the source code to make cheat trainers and honestly there's no point in preventing them. If there are people out there who want to use cheats, it's their right to do so as long as they Don't use them against other human players.
