Welcome ShockWave fans. The time is ripe for yet another media update. :) Today, as usual, we will show you one upcoming unit from each new general. 0.95 is undergoing intensive internal balance testing at the moment and the release is not far from the horizon.
The F16-XL Fighter-bomber is Ironside's way of dealing with dug-in positions. Upgradeable with bunker busters, a couple of these babies can demolish even the strongest defensive structures in the game. Although somewhat specialized, the F16 is quite resilient and can be used to attack most targets. Its weaknesses are other fighter planes and heavy anti-air.
The BRDM-2 Combat Patrol Vehicle is Deathstrike's Technical replacement. Strong, fast and flexible, the BRDM can cross water and becomes a threat to armor and aircraft when it gains salvage levels. Although it lacks fireports, it can transport infantry rapidly and safely.
Leang's Support Troop Crawler helps her warriors survive in the field. Manned by skilled mechanics and physicians and armed with wire-guided missile launchers usable against ground and air targets, this unit is a valuable asset to any strike force. Compared to a normal Troop Crawler, the Support TC carries less troops, but is slightly faster.
