C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
thank you a lot for the updates you deliver to this mod. is really the best and lagless mod i ever seen for generals.
Can you please try and make twilight flame 8 players map wihthout lag?
its the only map i experienced lag and i know there are a couple of modified maps of this one. but they actually modify the terrain, where i noticed that the ai on the map is actually pretty stupid and gets stuck and him being optimised would make a no lag experience of this popular map.
Lagless depends of the map and the number of oponents. I play maps with 8 factions and some are basically unplayable.
Zero hour version 1.0 doesn't have any lag. In the Twilight flame map, you can play against 7 hard ai without any lag. (Like the base game Generals v1.08)
but versions 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04 of Zero Hour have this bug. The main reason for this bug is the "game.dat" file in the game directory. By comparing the "game.dat version 1.0" file with the "game.dat version 1.04" files, this error causing memory leak can be detected. As far as I know, the programming language of .dat files is Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. Also Hex editor or something can be use.
In short, you can play version 1.0 until someone fixes this bug in version 1.04.

wow, i did not know about 1.00 no lag thing. i will try although it seems a pity i need to downgrade my zero-hour to test this. i will first try in vanilla generals and then in zh
Honestly, i think than the real problem is than the music constantly loop in maps with 8 players so is almost unheard. Of course, when you wipe some revials the music fixes a little.
How do you use this with Genlauncher?
