Causality Effect has been updated. I have fixed and changed little bugs found in the mod after its release. In other news the mod will be aired in PC Games magizine this month and will be on a DVD disc that comes with your magizine.

so, the game doesn't work quite right, it won't save, and the second map won't load on its own, not to mention that the third map loads with "ai_disable" set to 1, and i can't get it to change back, no matter how many times i put "ai_disable 0" in the console

It looks good, very nice. BUT, as has been pointed out already that first street battle has me dominated. I just can't get past it. Very frustrating indeed. I'm on medium difficulty and just get my *** beat no matter what I try. The Combine Gunship is the easiest kill of a Combine Gunship ever. Yet we get overwhelmed with too many Combine troops.

I don't want to cheat but not all of us are EXPERT FPS killers. I generally find Easy setting to be WAY too easy. Might have to go there anyway...

OK, so I figured out how to get past that first choke point. THEN you have to deal with that open area and multiple Striders and then multiple attack choppers! REALLY? Considering how weak most of the weapons are in HL2 that's just bloody ridiculous... Too bad because it's a beautiful mod.

I applied the patch to make the game actually run but it cant load the maps. Any help would be hot.

Toby, same thing happened to me on first try at installation, patch included. I then deleted the mod including the original download file. Redid everything a second time and it worked! Street battle still has me befuddled though!

Hello, i seem to have an issue when starting to play this mod. I get the error message "Can"t find background image materials/console/startup_loading.vtf", please help. I installed it correctly into the sourcemods folder, and have half life 2 installed.

it's easy to fix, just need to replace some lines in the file "gameinfo.txt"

every pre August 2010 mod has this issue, just google: Fixes for HL2 mods broken by the SteamPipe update.

Well it's getting late and I've discovered 2 of the endings. Pretty good overall, I did enjoy playing it for the most part. Agree that a couple of parts were over the top, the opening street battle is ridiculously hard, even on easy. I don't know if we're supposed to make use of the Combine rifle in the middle of the street near the gate, but it's too close if so -- the goons just swarm in to the sides where you can't shoot them, and you don't even see them move in. And it kinda made me uncomfortable that your first buddy there has to get shot before you can take the RPG and finish off the gunship. I played through that sequence more times than I can count, and I think I saw him get off one round -- once. Couple other remarks,I'll put them in the Review with a spoiler alert.
