This my friend, was an epic experience.
I´ve just completed it(well one of the alternatives when Breen is alive and so is Alyx and Eli, Kleiner and Barney are dead) and I was amazed. This is like Valve material. Maybe even better. D:

YOU MEAN THAT i fight my way to the end... then im getting KILLED? WHAT THE HELL...I HATE THESE ENDINGS..WHEN I DIE AT THE END...MAN..THAT MEANS THAT I FIGHT FOR NOTHING... ANYWAY THIS MOD OWNS..ITS GREAT..JUST THE END PISSED ME OFF.

Very well done mod, I played it through twice, the second time trying to figure out how to get the other endings, only to find it was at the final boss fight, and then I played the final fight another two times so Ive gotten all four endings :P Definitly worth the download.

If from the doorway you mean you didnt fall out when the walkway collapsed, I don't see why you couldn't kill it, as thats what I did both times, I just used the crowbar so Id have health for the rest of the area :P

I disagree with your summation of the story, while it doesn't give you total direction and doesn't explain some things, it isn't the longest mod, so he could have cut a lot of the game play to give you more scenes explaining everything, or he could have left you to make your guesses towards whats going on. In my mind a story that keeps you wondering and guessing is the best kind. As for the "
All you do is run around from one level to another, killing random bad guys" isn't that all you do in any game? and I think the breakups with the portal effect helped to stop me from feeling that a lot, as it gave an idea of what happened earlier and everything.

Overall great mod, Really well done with a really professional presentation. nicely done.

this is a great mod, the gameplay was smooth, good ammo distribution, but i got teleported kinda a lot, but it did answer questions to the story. it was very good.

I found that if I tried to kill the queen from inside the doorway, it wouldn't work - I'd waste all my ammo and she'd still be alive. When I jumped down into the water and took her on from there, I was able to kill her.

@ General_Hoohah: You do have to kill the queen - once she's down some combine soldiers will drop in and blow open the gates.

BTW, what'd it mean at the end when it said something like "ending 1 of 4" - are there multiple endings? Because I can't see anything I could've done differently anywhere to get a different ending.

The game play is good, but the story makes absolutely no sense what so ever. The game play is fun, and challenging in a few areas, but the story is what's important to me.

The only reason WHY I played all the way through was because I was led to believe that somehow I was going to do something that impacted past or future events. But instead it abruptly ends... So yeah, I was pissed off.

All you do is run around from one level to another, killing random bad guys. That’s it.

You don't have any objectives or goals... or do anything that could significantly impact past or future events, which is what this mod SHOULD have included but didn't. He even makes Alex evil and work with the combine... with no explanation why.

In my opinion the game play scores a 7, and the story scores a 1. So I’m giving this a 4.

Hmm... That npc is nothing but problems.. I dont know what to do. It dies for me and works fine.. I dont get why it wont for others... its like a 50/50 with this map... odd.

I tried with all weapons. Didn't work. I did her in with the crow bar. It took a bit. I was almost out of health when she went down.

Seems the latest version has not fixed this bug yet. I remember playing this last year, got stuck with the queen, downloaded this 'new' version and still the same problem :(
