Causality Effect mod for Half-Life 2

I think one of valves many mod killing patches, has ruined yet ANOTHER great mod.

Flying-Q's comment below, mentions that there is a screenshot where the player is positioned on the other side of the bars that trap you with the queen, and there's a hole in it.

I’m guessing there's some kind of scripted event that’s supposed to take place where the queen rips open the bars, and the creator of the mod made the queen invincible until that event took place so you couldn't kill it and trap your self.

If this is true, then the scripted event was probably broken by a valve patch, in which case we need someone to fix it.

I’m going to try and contact the mod author about this...

I am having the EXACT same problem! I can't kill the queen, and theres no where else to go. I can't find any entrances, passages, exits, or anything to continue onto the next area, and the queen will NOT die! I must have thrown 5 barrels, 3 rockets, 5 grenades, 2 mortars, and all my ammo... nothing will kill it....

What am I supposed to do? I see no consoles I can use or anything I can interact with! Can someone please help??

Also stuck at the ant lion queen in the sewers. Tried normal weapons/barrels, tried making it run into the fire, tried making it run into walls, etc. It assisted me in getting onto the ledge on the left, but the door is locked. What's next?

This is the second mod I've tried and it was superb.

If you're reading this and are considering it to download...its definitely worth it.

Best bit: The graveyard battle

Scariest bit: Combination of creepy cooridor, flickering light and fast Zombie

Annoying bit: Slow and frequent loads.

Frustrating bit: reaching the end...I was ready for more.

All made by one bloke.......good work fella....Valve should give you a job!

I just saw the trailer. GOing to give it a try.

BTW that trailer music sounds familiar. My guess is it's from the game. But for some reason it reminds me of a industrial band known as Argyle Park

This mod has an excellent sense of pace, scale and imagination. I played it all the way through immediatly after installing it. I think I enjoyed it more than HL2 itself! It combines story line with action in a well balanced cocktail that keeps you pushing on. A few simple puzzles serve to slow the game before launching you into the best HL2 fire-fights I have been involved in. It captures that old school 'boss' feeling in the set-pieces, particularly at the end, and multiple endings inspire you to play it through again. Not to mention the slightly tongue in cheek humour :) All round one of the best mods I have played ever. And done by one guy... ?!

Anyone for a free HL2 expansion pack?!?! Hit the download tab!
