Call of Chernobyl is a free-play sandbox mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Call of Pripyat created by TeamEPIC. It features 32 explorable maps, reworked level design and level fixes, new original level, Trucks Cemetery, Full AI and A-Life overhaul, engine and script enhancements, Repeatable task system which bases itself on A-Life events, Customizable weather environments for every map as well as surges and psi-storms from AF3, Character creation which includes name, portrait and faction selection; Several optional modes such as Ironman mode, story mode and zombie survival mode, New achievements, rankings and reputation system, PDA leaderboard and enhanced PDA statistics, Companion system with keyboard issued commands, many optional side-features and community-made addons . This looks like Lost Alpha.
Borovos is restoring stuff like the factory from the old versions of the map, it could be why you see the resemblance.
Yeah, it's based on the same resources from GSC archive. I try to create something a bit different, by small addition or details (interiors or little places).
In this view, it's vanilla vegetation as GSC did in summer 2005.
I plan to change it. For me, the Darkvalley should be covert by a forest, a dark forest.

Previously, I added few "living" places in bandit base.
Here, I used build 1935 part to restore this room.
The gsc version was empty. I added stuff like this: bandits are opening safe boxes here.
We can imagine a npc here who deliver quest:
- find the little model of safe (need to create a dynamic object base on the static one)
The npc open them and share a part of the content to the player as reward.
It's just a concept.

to Tejas: Only the idea of the road to the north "could be" from LA (judging by the shape and wideness of the road) as it wasn't made by GSC, we added that to be able to connect la-dolina with la-forest. Other than that, its pretty logical to add a road there, even the shape of the terrain suggests a road could fit there perfectly. This way, the zone can be expanded nicely.

Oh man this is beautiful, the Shadow of Chernobyl could always benefit from expansion, I'm ecstatic that people are working on improving that, good luck Borovos.
I really like this concept it definitely broadens the map. Have you put any thought to darkscape? it seems a bit empty and could use some love, i like what the lost alpha team did with theirs by adding houses with basements and a bay towards the east. Great work borovos!

It will be in CoC? Whether in the area to travel stalkers and mutants? I can not wait when I run on this wonderful location. I know that you do not have much time, but your progress is seen on the face! I hope in the future you will expand to all locations CoP sizes. At the moment, a little small.
Rebuilt maps like this will be great, Old Yantar would also be a nice addition.
