We've added a new early-war Hungarian motorized infantry regiment. the frontline unit is based on the most common Hungarian truck of the war. although these trucks will be unarmed they will each carry a small regiment of infantry. they will also be supported/led by armored cars to provide additional firepower.
Nice idea but I really find no problem to put a machine gun on those trucks!
Also are they represent the Carpathian Mobile group?
well, I made the trucks unarmed because out of the dozens of photographs I've seen of the 38M Botund none of them ever had any weapons mounted on them. besides, spawning a regiment actually makes them more dangerous than regular halftracks.
(theharkonnen has made an alternate version with a machine gun mounted on top of the cab, but I elected not to use it at this time)
we do have a Gyorshadtest regiment at the Mechanized division... which I think is basically the same as the Carpathian Mobile Group, right?
this regiment is meant to be the Hungarian equivalent of the regular infantry/halftrack regiment found in the other major nations. the decision was made as part of a game-balancing measure. I didn't have a specific historic regiment or division as a frame of reference, to be honest.
since I'm still reviewing Hungary some things could be changed if need be.
Well this unit can be seen as motorized infantry who use trucks to move around and dismounted to fight.
And yea the Gyorshadtest is the same with the Carpathian Mobile Group
