The Telic Campaign is an unofficial expansion pack for the Unreal Tournament 2004 award winning total conversion, Alien Swarm. In Alien Swarm, you control a squad of space marines through dangerous missions agaisnt hordes of hostile aliens. The game supports single and coop multiplayer modes.
The Telic Expansion Pack builds upon this extremely fun gameplay by bringing eight new, unique missions in the form of a complete campaign. In addition to the maps, Telic expands the Alien Swarm universe with new weapons, extra items, more dangerous enemies, original mission objectives and various modifications to the standard game rules.
The basic principles of Alien Swarm are retained: vibrant non-stop action and challenging situations that require active cooperation from the whole team. Stay sharp, watch those corners and remember.. short, controlled bursts.

'Escape From Rhea' is a new campaign continuing right where Telic left your unfortunate squad of brave marines: stuck in the heart of the xenomorph brain lair, surrounded by pointy teeth and esurient growls in the dark.
Utilize all your wits and cunning, your best team tactics, and an array of deadly new gadgets to overcome the neverending onslaught of angry aliens and insidious farewell presents left by the shady Telic corporation in order to lead your soldiers to victory, fame, booze'n'babes, and, most important, continued existence.

yes, however this was the free mod that was developed on the unreal 2.5 engine

i seriously cannot get past the first levels on this freaking game. i just cant. my squad listens fine, but i mean i get hit by one parasite and its game over. or! on the brightside! my squad gets hit so hard they all run out of ammo in search of the stupid eggs. i mean i almost beat the first level of the spaceship but it says i need 4 more eggs. so in my search my squad finally meets its unfortunate end trapped in a small room with a sealed door about to be ripped down with only a handful of landmines and a medic with a pistol to fend off 25+ bugs. Everyone else was still alive but all were badly wounded and out of ammo. Also i cant find anyone online. HELP!!
yeah i also think you should play it with friends AND teamspeak to really enjoy it...
If you got UT2004, a few friends and teamspeak (or something else), that's the mod for you. Ive been playing it since 2 year, and with this campaign its even better. No other mod beat it
You can play Alien Swarm in single player mode, controlling up to 4 marines. It involves a lot of micro managing, but it's still a good way to learn the ropes :) As P4R4.be says, it's more fun to play coop with other players.
yes you can play it on your own with "bots"....
but it is funier with other human players
