Those look incredible. Without a doubt the best animations I have seen, they perfectly capture the movements of shooting a gun. The muzzle flash sprites and Simon sounds are brilliant to. I am in awe!
To be honest, I don't think it's that much of an issue. The player's eye will be drawn to the bump mapping rather than the edge and since there's so much else to look at while moving through the area, it isn't such a big deal.
In other words, the only reason we notice so much is because this is a screenshot rather than a video/playing the mod.
That sucks that the image isn't showing properly. The imgur pic looks great though, awesome stuff!

Very cool stuff as usual. It's cool to see that you go to the trouble of researching things in depth and then incorporating them into the mod, the effort you put in really shows in the end product.

I just noticed the info for the flashlight says that it "drains power". Does this mean that we'll be gathering up batteries to combine with it like in AoM?

Just two quick questions. I saw that the light from the lamp on the brick wall has quite a blocky shape to it, unlike the one for the 'street lamp' and bus stop. Is that just a place holder?
Also, about the cross hairs, are there going to be different cross hairs for different guns (shotgun, Ruger p345, Glock 19 etc)?
I really like the look of that bus stop. It looked great in the first screenie that showed it and it looks great here too. That's a really great bit of mapping right there. The paving slabs look spot on too, and the lighting is just fantastic.

It's so great to see the progress being made on this mod. The work you guys have put into it really, really shows.
The inventory system is looking really slick, a massive improvement on the original one you showed us in the early days of the mod. I'm also really glad to see that you have to put away whatever you're holding when you are on a ladder.
The falling down feature is great too. What happens if you just jump down the stairs though? Also, if you fall from a certain height, will you collapse on the ground when you hit it? That would be pretty cool.
I'm also interested in the independent movement of the flashlight/torch, how does that work exactly? Do you hold down a mouse button to disable mouse look and move the light around?
Great stuff anyway, I'm getting more and more excited about this mod each time you do an update!
